    Text speak

    Time for a quick reminder about the use of "text-speak" in posts.

    Using text speak may allow you to type quickly but can be difficult for our members to read and understand.

    We therefore ask that members refrain from using text speak in their posts. Any posts that include text speak or are unclear or indecipherable may be edited or deleted by TD staff.

    To clarify, our site rule on the matter states.....

    We ask that you check your spelling. You are more likely to get a response to a post that shows that you cared enough about it to check and see if it was well formed. Any posts that are judged to be undecipherable by the staff of TD.com are subject to deletion. We also request that you refrain from typing in all capitol letters. This is the internet equivalence of shouting and may be seen a rude by some members. We also ask that you do not type words that have upper case letters in inappropriate spots or what is otherwise referred to as "Hacker Slang", This includes shortcuts in spelling.(ex. U R in place of your). We are viewed by how we type and clear and concise communication on a board site is important.;

    Thanks for your understanding!

    For the benefit of our newer members, I thought it may be time for a reminder about our site rules on text speak.

    Thanks!

    We've been getting quite a few posts lately which contain text speak.

    Please note our site rules on text speak as shown below.

    Recognised abbreviations are fine but, for the benefit of all our members, please refrain from using text speak in posts.

    Thank you!

    Re: Text speak

    Time for another quick reminder to our members about our site rules regarding the use of text speak in posts.

    Using text speak can make posts difficult to understand. Unfortunately, our staff may therefore have no choice but to delete posts which do contain text speak.

    Thanks.

    I really like this. It makes me feel that this is not just another Disney fan site but one where propriety and respect for others is encouraged. Love this and quote it to bump it further! Thank you Winkster!
