    pre wedding invites

Has anyone done pre wedding invitations? If so what was the wording and style etc. Me and my fiance have a 62 person guest list and have family from all over so we want an idea of who can come. Thoughts on this would be awesome!

    Re: pre wedding invites

You could do a Save the Date and put an RSVP card in the envelope with it if you need to know a number earlier than when the invitations go out.

Yep we sent out save the dates. We just did post card style cards that had an engagement picture on it and it said "save the date for our wedding" and had the date on it. We also put the city and state our wedding was in. That way people can plan to come and put in dates for work, make airline plans, ect. We sent ours in Septemer and our wedding was in April bc we had family over seas ect.

But "wedding protocol" says you are to send response cards with your actual invitation not the save the dates. I'm sure people will tell you personally of they for sure can't come when they get the save the dates

    Re: pre wedding invites

Ooops sorry I misunderstood what pre-wedding invitations meant. I thought they were save the dates E-invites would have been another idea in addition to the invitation rsvps. That's nice to have people come from overseas! My wedding is in June and I'm sending my save the dates to out of town guests too. They are also post card style My wedding invitation wording is going to be pretty traditional...Mr and Mrs....request the honor of your presence at the wedding of their daughter.....to....on....at...
