Is there any point in booking fast pass tickets or should we wait until we get to the parks ??

    Thanks

Unless you have been chosen for FastPass+ beta testing (which, if you had been, you would know) you will not be able to pre-book your Fastpasses. You will use the current kiosk system.

If you HAVE been selected to test the FP+ system (or if you are going after they bring it live for all guests, which right now is looking like the fall or later), then you will be able to reserve up to 3 fastpasses per day. The advantage, at least according to Disney, is that you will be able to ensure certain rides at certain times, and therefore plan your day around it.

Beta testers, however, have had mixed reviews about it.

    My pleasure.

You won't be able to "book" any fastpasses, if you are on the older system. Rather...each ride that participates in the system has it's own kiosks. You will need to find the kiosks and insert your Key to the World or Park Ticket into the kiosk. It will then give you a fastpass ticket with a return time, which you can't predict when that return window will be.

Be aware, Disney has clamped down on those return windows. You NEED to show up between the times listed, exactly. If you are early, even by a few minutes, they won't let you into the FP line, and the same holds if you are late.
