    Cats at Disney

I read that after closing Disney let 200 cats loose to keep the rodent population down! I think this is a load of internet ****.

    What does everyone think?

If that's true, what about Mickey and Minnie?

Do we need to find them a protection squad?

I know in Germany they had cats in a theme park - actually one of my cats was an adopted "Theme park" cat which we caught while we were in the park. They were however not brought in by the owners but just decided to move in, and as far as I know when the season ended there they would catch them and hand them over to a shelter to find homes for them.

    Lol. Hilarious

I have seen cats in the parks, resorts, and DTD area but they're just strays, i don't think they were released there on purpose.

There are also cats at Disneyland in California. They don't even try to hide themselves!

In September I was staying at the boardwalk in wdw and when we went to park the car we saw animal service and a women from the hotel looking for something, we asked what they were doing. They said somebody called saying a kitten was running loose. As soon as they walked away the kitten came out to say hi he was a little baby I wanted to keep him. I guess his mommy & daddy work at epcot on rat patrol !

I don't know about the parks but I know that you are not supposed to have pets in the Disney hotels. In September 2013 we saw a couple walking through the Grand California Resort with a cat in a carrying case and they used a large tipper where type container for a litter box. The hotel assured me that cats are never brought into the hotel with guests and I had to correct them. I admired the cat owners for having such a well behaved cat.
