The Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade gave its last performance in January, and will be replaced with the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade sometime March 2014. Fantasyland is currently undergoing expansion and is scheduled to open in phases through 2014. Both the Storybook Circus and Enchanted Forest areas are now open. A new roller coaster with a Seven Dwarfs theme will open in Fantasyland as part of the expansion sometime spring of 2014.

    Animal Kingdom

Disney Parks has announced a long-term relationship with James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Filmed Entertainment to bring the fantasy world of AVATAR to life at Animal Kingdom Park. The new Avatar-inspired Land will feature multiple attractions, entertainment, merchandise locations, restaurants and other immersive elements to bring the world of Pandora to life. Parking Lots H,I,J,K, located from Disney Quest to the Pleasure Island bus stops, are closed for an unspecified amount of time, as work begins on the new West Parking Garage. As the West Garage work expands, access to Ring Road between Entrance 3 and Entrance 4 will be blocked off until fall 2014. The existing lots including one behind the Cirque du Soleil theater should be able to handle a normal day of activity at Downtown Disney. However, due to the reduction in guest parking spaces, off-site overflow parking areas will be open on most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holidays, and special events throughout the next few years of the expansion project. Overflow lots include Team Disney (less than 15 minute walk), the Casting Center (5 - 10 minute walk), and SunTrust (5 - 10 minute walk). Electronic directional signage along Buena Vista Drive will direct Guests. Shuttles will also be available during overflow times to transport guests between Team Disney and Downtown Disney West Side near Cirque du Soleil. Shuttles will operate from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m."

    Disney Resorts

    Polynesian Resort:
Resort Renovations have begun at the Polynesian Resort that will enhance the entire resort and add a new Disney Vacation Club property to the resort. As part of these ongoing renovation projects, views in some Guest rooms have been impacted. In order to accommodate guests, Disney has made changes to certain room categories in impacted buildings. The renovation will impact views from some rooms in buildings 5, 9, 10 and 11. Also, a portion of the east parking lot nearest to building 11 may be closed. In addition to that, access to the beach area on the east side of the resort, as well as Sunset Pointe (the grassy hill overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon, located between the east beach and the main beach near the Nanea Volcano pool), will be unavailable. All other amenities (restaurants, pools, merchandise locations, etc.) will be available. Screamscape has posted some blueprints that may shed some light on what to expect with the new villas at the Polynesian Resort. Construction, is expected to be completed sometime in 2015.

    Elsewhere at Walt Disney World
