How far from WDW will you live? It takes us roughly 3.5 hours to get there door-to-door.

. Depending which months. In the winter months it takes about an hour and a half, with all of the snowbirds slowing down the freeways . But if you go in the summer it takes about an hour! I used to live in Tampa so really close to Brandon, but I am now back up in western Canada so it takes a little longer to get there

Re: Just curious. ( florida residents)

We have the Florida resident weekday season pass. It's our second year having it and we love it. We even got a $30 discount when we renewed and you can make monthly payments which is another Florida resident perk. We do have black out dates with the pass we choose ( my husband works outside so we never go in the summer cause he doesn't like the heat and also that's when the parks are busy, busy) I think it's well worth it

How much is a weekday pass? It's for the whole season? I looked up season passes and they were like $800. Which would be 4,000 for my whole family

Florida resident seasonal passes sell for around $339 for first-time buyers (less to renew). Seasonal passes let you go anytime during the year as much as you want, except for certain peak season times (Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Go to mousesavers.com to find best prices.

Also, if you have AAA you get about 10% off the seasonal pass price of you get it one of their offices.

Using AAA discount on top of the Florida resident discount is a great feature. Especially now that the prices for the annual pass for Florida residents went up $21 on feb. 23rd.
Usually going next level up on Florida resident Disney passes and getting the annual instead of seasonal you'll get more for your money. You'll get free parking which is worth it since its now $15 to park and NO BLACKOUT DAYS plus you'll still get 10% discount on many restaurants and stores including many in downtown Disney.
I think it's around 516 and change which includes tax and with 10% AAA discount it's another $56 off which is great.

    Also worth mentioning...

If you're a passholder (seasonal or annual), check out Tables in Wonderland. If you spend more than $500 per year on WDW table service and resort bars, this program can save you money. One membership card, which costs $100, covers up a table of 10 people. You get 20% off with this card. And you get free valet parking at any resort where you use it. They just need a to see a receipt when you pick up the car. (You still should tip them, of course.)

One of the ways we used this was to valet park at the Yacht Club in the morning, spend all day at Epcot, then stop for a drink at the Crew's Cup Lounge in the Yacht Club to get the receipt for the free parking.

You can get TIW as a non-passholder Florida resident, but it costs $25 more.
