What are your favorite non-Disney comfort movies? You know, movies you've seen a zillion times and can watch a zillion more times. Movies that make you feel better when you're down or sick. Movies you can fall asleep to.

Not sure if these would be viewed as a comfort movie but if I am sick I will put on Gone with the Wind or West Side Story - they are long and West Side Story has a great soundtrack.

Oh and for a funny movie (more recent) Pitch Perfect - it is on cable all the time.

    Dirty Dancing
    Grease
Another movie I can watch over and over that would not be considered a comfort movie is A Time To Kill. With Matthew Mcconahey, Sandra Bullock and several other older well known actors.

That's one of my favorite comfort movies, too! The BBC version was so good.

Sixteen Candles (I used to be able to recite the whole movie, beginning to end. ) and Dirty Dancing

I also love the movie Serendipity. It catches my attention any time it comes on.

Anything can be a comfort movie. I know someone who has a horror movie on her list!

Some of the many movies I like to watch if I'm sick or down are:

    Roman Holiday
    Mean Girls
Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion
    The Birdcage
Pride & Prejudice (BBC mini-series version)

None of those movies are on my all-around favorite films list, but they're the ones that comfort me.
