I just realized we will be in Walt Disney World on Fathers Day. I need suggestions as to where to take my husband. He's a buffet type of person and he loves steaks. Can anyone suggest a good restaurant for dinner? I'm even considering Chef Mickeys because I heard its memorable. I could take him to a fancy steakhouse but I think it may be too expensive. If you want to recommend one though, please do because you never know...we might just go for it. We are already eating at the Crystal Palace and Enchanted Oak. I need other suggestions... So anyway I'm torn between some of these....
Canada-Le Cellier
Chef Mickeys
Epcot-Japan-Tepanyaki
Boma-Animal KIngdom Resort
But please suggest anything else you may think of.
He's my Hercules, Hercules!
Thanks soooo very much for your suggestions. Terry

He might like to go to the Hoop-de-doo review at Fort Wilderness, if he is a buffet kinda guy. A little pricy, but the food was top notch, good entertainment, and it's all you can eat! (sorry, no steaks, but lots of fried chicken!)
If you want a steak dinner, I heard that the Don Shula steakhouse (if it's stilll there) over by the Dolphin Hotel is pretty good.

Well, its not a buffet, but why not try Yachtsman's steakhouse at the Beach Club, or for top notch steak, try Shula's at the Dolphin, named number 1!!
There is also, for an all you can eat theme, the Garden Grill at Epcot or the Roaring Fork Restuarant at the Wilderness Lodge or Artist Point, top notch, but not a buffet. I have eaten at all and all are very wonderful!
Hope this helps you....we will be there too on Father's Day and planning a dinner at either the Yachtsman's or Jinko's at AKL.
Have fun!!!

When you guys do go...report back here and tell us what you think. My dad is a meat and potatoe lover (when it's not a chinese buffet!), and when the family reunion happens next year, I'll need some ideas!

Ok...Here's the disclaimer......
My view on this is biased as it is pertaining to my absolute favorite restaurant on WDW property
I say go to Boma!! If your hubby is a steak guy, then I'd dare to guess that he is also a Prime Rib kinda guy as well. The buffet is just fabulous. I was just there on Thursday and the quality, as well as the quanity, of the foods was great. The prime rib was really tender and the Boma mustard that goes with is a taste sensation you'll be smacking your lips over. There is a pork tenderloin and a chicken dish too. Heck, there's even a fish dish served. On our night, I believe that it was a spiced sea bass wrapped in a banana leaf. The potatos with afritude (sp?) are very pleasing as well. All of the other veges offered are really good, with the fufu being of particular interest. There are numerous salads with the carrot/coconut one being a real bud tingler. If your brood likes soups, you'll find some really interesting ones here as well. We won't even get into the desserts, other than to say that you should remember to grab a dinner plate to fill with them as you won't want to waste good chewing time on having to get up to get seconds or other things to sample.
A couple of other things, just as sidenotes.....They also have a kid's pod loaded with things like mac & cheese, pizza and chicken nuggets that they like and the morning breakfast buffet is just as good as the dinner buffet.

My husband request every trip to eat at the Yatchsman's steakehouse. We eat and then take the kids over to the Board Walk to watch the fireworks. It has been a tradition on our last 3 trips to DW.
