When I was at WDW in February, I noticed an area called Bonnet Creek under construction. Is this going to be a new Resort? I have done some research, and all I can find information about a Bonnet Creek Golf Club, but thats all.

I assume you are talking about the resort across from the west side and Pleasure Island. Correct? If so this is Saratoga Springs, it is a new DVC resort taking over the former disney institute and then adding a few new buildings. It will also have the Treehouse Villas as part of it. (inmho the greatest hotel at wdw) They have started to give sales tours of the resort a few weeks ago. As for a new road, you are referring to community drive? thats been there for years, the road goes from the market place area over to bonnet creek road. if this isn't what your talking about sorry.
OR your talking about the non disney owned resort going up next to the carribean beach resort. I forgot what hotel chain is building this resort but it won't be disney owned. around the 47 square miles of the wdw resort there are patches that are not owned by disney. this was one of them however it was surronded by disney on all 4 sides, disney sold them a little land to put the road through since it couldn't connect anywhere else.
Let me know what one you are talking about and I'll see what I can find out about it for you

Currently Saratoga Springs is open for the SPA portion of the resort and has been open for a few months. The former disney institute has been up for a while so they probley gave it a quick rehab and reopened that part. they can give tours of the rooms and some of the main areas. As for the tree house villas I have been told they are getting a rehab as well. one more thought, they might not be opening the entire resort at once. like at pop century they will open the first half in DEC then the second half at a later time. they did this with coranado as well the allstar resorts, the last one is a technicality. however it seems this is disneys new method for opening resorts.

I drove by the new hotel project by the CBR today and their are signs that say "Bonnet Creek" Construction crew. so I guess that would be the answer to OP. That is a new road that they installed. I'm still not sure who is building it. I know no details of anything at this point but if I find anything out I will let you know.

hey I used to live up on the CT/NY boarder, but love it down here, now I got a offer to come back but not enough to deal with the snow and problems of that area.

Hey Everyone, some of what I've read here is accurate.. I thought I'd give some facts out tho about the resort.. The resort is called Bonnet Creek and will include the Fairfield at Bonnet Creek timeshare resort with 750+ units set to open next summer. The resort will also have 4 hotels on site and a golf course, all set to open over the next several years.
If anyone has questions about the resort, feel free to drop me a line!
