Innoventions

I personally do not like Innoventions at DL very much. I find it to be quite boring and quite frankly it is like walking through a Best Buy. I think it is taking up too much space and should be replaced with a good, fun, tomorrowland themed ride. Whenever I walk by, there is never a line and there are not that many people in there. And everybody I have asked about it say that they went through it once but it not something they would return to .What do you think?

I see what you mean as far as it being just like a best buy. I do too feel that this is an unessary attraction that should/could be replaced with some better imagination.

First..
Welcome on board Mickeyman! All the members are here to help in anyway needed.

Second...
If you are referring to the Innoventions here at DLR, I concur. it does seem like a product promotion area, not very Disney-like. However, If you are referring to W DW/E pcot's Innoventions, I would definitely disagree. Over there, it comes cross as a great place to discover new things that are coming. Kinda like a real to life "Tomorrowland".

I think that Innoventions is great, it's been nice, but it's time for something new. I do like it in some ways, but it feels like its just sponsor after sponsor after..You get the picture

I agree with DD on the Innoventions in Epcot. It's always cool to see what new stuff they have in there and it fits with the theming and park very well. It's also a great place to cool off in the hot Florida sun.

They might close it anyway, since EPCOT might change to Discoveryland. The reason for Discoveryland is that Disney is tired of keeping up with th future. Since Innoventions features the technology of tomorrow...well, we'll just have to see.

They wouldn't get rid of Innoventions, they get money for sponsoring. At least they do here in Florida. Like those electrical powered people mover things, now they're on sale to the public, and the company's making tons of money. I'm sure Disney got a little bit of that.
What is it with people trying to fix things that aren't broken?

From what I read on Jim Hill and other sources, I seriously doubt WDI will want to keep ahead with technology. It's Future World, so Innoventions fits perfectly-but in Discoveryland?Maybe not, but there's always Tomorrowland..

I believe what you are refering to is called a Segway scooter. To learn more about them, follow the link below (the word Amazon made the link with words not work correctly)...

As for Innoventions at WDW, I think the idea is great, but not executed well. I love to see new technologies, but I think that it could be done better. For me, it usually becomes a place to cool off or walk through. I think Disney will hold on to it as long as they can for the ads, though. Innoventions is pretty popular, and they are getting paid to have it!

I think that a good 50% of the preteen visitors to Innoventions would not go if the whole video games section did not exist.

I didn't know it had a video game section. What is it made up of? I would actually like to see that because I was recently a beta tester for Xbox Live.

It is in the West Area. The name is Video Games of Tomorrow. It features many video games for different consoles that have not been released yet, like for Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.

Innoventions is not one of our favorite stops either. We never spend much time there unless it is to cool off from the heat. And then we find very little to do.

Putting in the video game area is a great idea. Plus it's a little thing Epcot can do to keep ahead of technology and give the preteens something to do as well. Plus they get a little something for displaying the systems so that's a win win.
