Everyone talks about the breakfast at the castle; we couldn't get reservations so we're eating lunch there. How is it for lunch? Good food? Are there characters running around, or is that just for breakfast?

A couple of my family members ate lunch at the castle (the breakfast was booked most the week we stayed). They said the food was really good, although I have read on the boards some people didn't find the food that good. I will double check with them on the characters at lunch.

Hey, thanks urfav, I'd love any and all feedback. When I'm in WDW, I'm pretty happy with anything, but it'd be nice to know that we're having a good meal, too!

Our family had lunch there in May, as we couldn't get in for breakfast either. My daughter and I shared Major Domo's Favorite Pie (which was Prime rib with mashed potatoes over a light pastry) And, no--I didn't remember the name of it. I have the souvenier menu in front of me. Then we shared a fancy dessert. Our meal was excellent, but my husband was less thrilled with the pasta special he ordered. There weren't any characters there but it's still really neat just being inside the castle.

Yes! the Prime Rib was what my family had as well. Thanks for the reminder So now you know the Prime Rib is good.

I can't remember the last time I had bad prime rib, come to think of it!!

I remember I had luch at the castle and it was pretty crowded, good food and had an excellent time. However, be sure that when you order water, specify the 'special' water least the waiter assumes you mean just plain ol' moat water. (castle, moat - get it?)
