This is my families new favorite tradition. We moved from California 3 years ago, we lived about 2 hours south of San Francisco and as a tradition would go into the city at Christmas time. We'd have lunch at a specific restaurant, shop and look at all the decorations. The thought that this type of family tradition, one that has been aroung since my mom was a young girl, being left behind was so sad. That is until we got tickets for MVMCP. We've started a new tradition! We spend the weekend at the GF, go on a Thursday evening (less crowded) to the party and Friday night we go to the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights at Disney-MGM Studios. It's become a fun and special tradition for the 3 generations that go together. Don't forget your Hot Chocolate and Cookies!

The closer the Party is to Christmas the more crowded it gets, if you go in early December you should be fine.

You will have a great time! Remember to get your picture taken, the photo is included in the cost of your ticket and the picture is nice (you will receive it in the mail soon after your visit). Usually the lines for photos are shortest early in the evening. DO NOT try to catch the "snow" on main street on your tongue. My daughter did this last year, she sounded like a cat coughing up a furball for about 15 minutes! Definately stay for the fireworks and to see Rudolph fly. Eat before you go! The hot chocolate and cookies are nice, but do not make a good dinner.
