Pin Celebration 2003 & Huricane Isabel

Whatsup with huricane Isabel?

Does anyone have any ideal if there are contingency plans in place in the event that this huricane would somehow hinder the Pin Celebration scheduled for September 19-21?

I had such a great time at my first pin trading event (Mickey's Toontown) in April that I'd be very disappointed if Disney had to cancel. Would they simply cancel or do you think they would reschedule? Knowing how much everyone loves pintrading, I think people would showup and have a great time even during a category five storm.

So, what da ya say?

I do not think there has been any plans made to cancel or reschedule the Journey Though Time Event at this time. Though is is still to early to tell it appears the path of the storm is heading north more toward the Carolina's at this point. Every one I know who has made arrangements to go are still planning on attending. More info should be available by Monday.

Has a major storm ever hit WDW? I know they created pretty much everything there to either withstand or to be taken down in the event of a hurricaine.

Well I have been tracking this hurricane,cause we are trying to put up a pool but it looks like it will slide right by. But you never know. They are so tricky. And yes Iluvstitch they have had some run-ins but nothing major cause WDW is in the center of Florida and the one time they closed the parks and even demanded that the people staying at Fort Wilderness to stay at Wilderness Lodge till they were all booked up and some even slept on the floor. And they didn't even charge them for leaving the campsite. Which that just goes to show how concern they are for their customers.

Yes today the track does look favorable. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I guess everyone will have to keep an eye on the storm right up until pre-registration on the 18th.

Pin Celebration? What pin celebration!?!?! Is it a ticketed event, where is it going to be held? Of heck, anybody have a website address with the info? Thanks!!!

Oh BTW, looks like Isabel is heading North! *Knock Wood*

Pin Celebration is a ticketed event, however their is a public day on Sunday, Sept. 21. Guest will be admitted from 11 am until 6 pm.

So, if your in Orlando on Sunday and love pin trading, check it out in EPCOT. That is if Isabel doesn't cause a fuss.
