My wife & I will be at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Dec. 3rd. We are staying at the Contemporary Resort that weekend and plan on making a great weekend out of the trip with Epcot's Holidays Around the World & the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package (eating @ Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room - Japan) on Saturday.
Hopefully, I will be able to talk her into taking the Segway Around the World Tour at Epcot that morning !!!! Wish me luck !!!!

Only 1 hour & 30 minutes from our driveway to Walt Disney World. Thank God for Annual Passes !!!
I saw where it said MVMCP was sold out for 12/19, I thought it was only through the 17th. And why is that I would think they would keep it doing closer to Christmas as the crowd comes in.
I had read on another disney forum that the night of the 19th was sold out and I posted back that I did not even think the MVMCP was on for the 19th. I have not got my tickets yet but am as soon as Christmas Club money comes in for the night of the 16th or 17th. I called disney yesterday and she also said no dates had sold out so hopefully they will not in the next couple weeks. Also since you are from Disney do you know why they stop the MVMCP on the 17th instead of extending it up until Christmas?
I have another question for you about the MVMCP. We are booked for the Liberty Tree for 4:45 before the MVMCP and was wondering if the characters will be there. It is listed as character dinner but I didnt know if it changed due to the special event. I should have asked when I made my PS but forgot. I was reading the above post and she said she is booked for the castle. I think they would be beautiful at night especially with the Christmas deco. We are have a character breakfast there but is the dinner in a different part of the castle? Also the dinner at castle I was told a tip was to request a table by the window to be able to see out so you may want to check on that.
No I don't know why they stop the Party so early in the month. It does seem kind of strange though. I am almost positive the characters will be out at Liberty Tree when you are there. You should be fine. As for the Castle dining, breakfast lunch and dinner are all done in the same room. Yes, a table by the window is great, especially if you time it to get to see the fireworks.

We'll be @ WDW Dec 4th-13th & attending MVMCP on Tues the 7th. We plan on hitting the park when it opens and then taking the monorail to the Contemporary for our 11:10AM PS for Chef Mickeys. Yes, a late breakfast but we'll have more time w/ the characters as most of the guests will have already headed to the park. After breakfast, back to the park until the park closes at 6:00PM and then we head to the LTT for a 6:25PM PS. The park re-opens at 7:00PM so we should be right back out on the streets and enjoying the Christmas fun. I just hope the day works out like I've planned!!

We are going on Dec. 17! Last time we went at Christmas, we came after the party was over too. So this year we are going before Christmas to catch the party and get home for Christmas with the rest of the family. Should be fun!

Hey Jillian - at last check a CM told me that the reason they don't run the MVMCP closer to Christmas is because the parks are so crowded that closing them early really isn't an option - I don't know if this is true or not, but it seems to make sense....
