Mickey busy month this october

October USED to be THE month to go to WDW. Not anymore.
The week of october 12-17 was crazy busy. Like summer busy. I couldn't believe it. Apparently kids in Fla don't have school that week. Well, didn't know that when we were planning. I will never go in October again. It has gotten progressively more crowded in the past 5 years. Someone let the secret out. Anyone have a better time to go? If so, don't let out the secret. Except to me!

November?

We are heading to the World November 7-16th. I'm thinking that the first weekend should be sort of crowded with the Soap Opera weekend but I'm hoping as the week progresses that it will get better and less crowded. Here's hopin'! As long as it's less crowded than the summer months I'm going to be okay with it. I'm sorry that it was so crowded when you were there. How many days were you there? I'm hoping that by being down there for 10 days that we will at least see SOME less crowded days while we are there (probably the days that we will be at Discovery Cove and Sea World
Anyone have a good time to go that they stick to?

We only went for 2 days. Just enough. MK on Wednesday. AK and MGM on Friday. I heard, while standing in line waiting to ride Dumbo, that they had to close MK to new guests because it hit max capacity. That is ususally unheard of in October. Good luck with your trip.

Wow hitting capacity in October, that's wild. I can't say I've heard of that before, well I guess it's good that business is doing so well.

I can't believe they had to close the park. I always thought that October was a good month to go to WDW because the summer crowds were over. Although, it is good to see business picking back up. When is the best time to go to disney?

I'm pretty sure the kids are in school most of October. Personally I love October for the weather and lesser crowds. And now that I'm wayyy closer it'll mean more visits then for the Food and Wine Festival.

Smile

My favorite time to visit and one i stay with every year is the first week of December...The crowds are low and the wait times short. And the Parks are at their most lovely decorated for the holidays... Plus its value season at the resorts, always a good thing !

We are going in October as well. the 15th to the 22nd. Our chioce was influenced by 2 things mainly. #1 - Our daughter will only miss 2 days of school instead of a full 5. The week we go is her school's Fall Break and they only have school on Monday and Tuesday that week. #2 - Fewer crowds. I was looking through some pictures I found online of Mainstreet USA in June/July and some Mainstreet USA in October. Wow! What a difference! I looked at the June/July photo's and thought "Well, we're never going to get on a ride.". Then I looked at the October photo's and would you beleive it, I could see the asphault! The crowds looked soooooo much better for October.
