Related topic - question, Ed....

I have heard rumours that there is talk of starting a Club 33 at WDW. Supposedly in the top floor of the Firehouse (which I didn't think was all that big, but...). Anyway, I figured if anyone would know, it'd be someone in Talk Disney...

Any news/gossip/rumours???

Well I'm not Ed but, perhaps I can shed a bit of light on this particular rumor that has been going around forever.

As the rumor goes, there was a Club 33 clone planned for the MK called Club 21. If you think about the rumor, it sorta makes sense because why not have one on both coasts? What really made this take off is that there are corporate lounges that are in different places throughout the MK, and in fact throughout all of WDW, such as the Fed-Ex one in Space Mountain or the AAA one that is just to the right of the CoP . Some of the others are Kodak@JII, Exxon@ UoE, Mcdonalds@Dinosaur,MetLife@WoL, the AMEX one (Hmmm...is this still there?) that is located in the American Adventure in World Showcase and of course GM@Test Track.

yea i've heard of the rumor of a club 21 in WDW. And in fact the rumor was substantiated by i guess some lounges for personnel that were right next and still are next to pirates of the caribbean. so it was thought that there was a club there also. but sadly there isn't. hope this clears it up for you.

That would be pretty neat if they actually put one in here at WDW.

Club 33 is a private/member's only club located in Disneyland. It sits above the Blue Bayou restaurant and is accesable from the 'street' through a door only members may pass. It is very posh and terribly expensive to join. [think ten thousand]

If i am correct, i beleive club 33 is the only place in disneyland where alcohol is served. Though this may not still be true.
