What Is Fantasmic?

Hello,

I haven't been to Disney World in years. I have absolutely no clue what fantasmic is and how does it include a dinner package? Where can I find out more information about it?

Thank You everyone.

Fantasmic is a show that features Mickey fighting Evil in his dream. There is information on the board about the dinner packages. Try doing a search under Fantasmic Dinner

Fantasmic is a awesome firework show at MGM, I haven't been to see it in a while so I don't know a ton about it. however its the closing show, it does have a dinner package but its not required I think they say if you want good seats to be there at least 1 and 1/2 hours before the show, however They designed the stage to have no bad seats. its in a stage by the tower of terror. also the show is currently closed for rehab once it reopens I'll go over and see it again. then I'll know more. sorry for not being able to answer your question better but I'm sure that if you give this 24 hours you'll have a lot of answer to this.

Ok others will want to add on but here's a basic run down as I know it. Fantasmic is the night time entertainment at Disney MGM Studios. It is basically a theatrical show done in an outdoor amphitheatre that deals with the villains of the Disney world against the heroes with Mickey Mouse as the major character. It takes place once or twice a night and includes fireworks and water screens. It is IMHO one of the best things at WDW and is very impressive. You need to arrive at the amphitheatre about an hour ahead of time, however if you'd like to pretty well assure yourself a seat you can do so by buying a package deal that includes dinner at a restaurant in the park and also a side view seat for the show.
If I missed anything someone please fill it in,
Hope this helps.

IDD, Shadow... I went to this for the first time, thinking, "Oh, yeah, another fireworks show..." Man, was I mistaken... the effects in this show are amazing... the dragon appearance alone is worth the wait.. never done the supper package, though... we just haul it to the line when we see the gate open, and wade in... the only thing I have to gripe about with this is the inevitable morons that start saving twenty places for the rest of their crew, who decided one person could wait while they finish dinner somewhere... but, hey, whattya gonna do?

As Socrates once said, "There's boneheads in every crowd... don't look for them, because they will make themselves known."

Wait... Did Socrates say that? Or was it Jack Nicholson in "Batman".... Hmmmmm... have to look that one up... anyway.....

The dinner package is nice because you don't have to arrive 2 hours before the show. There is hardly a bad seat in the ampitheater, so while the reserved seating is off to one side of the theater you won't miss anything. The restaurants that are included in the dinner package have great food and you get a lot of it! It's a very nice end to a visit to MGM.
The only drawback to the deal can be the price. It's a little pricey, but you can check that through Disney reservations.

Whatever it is or isn't, it is certainly something you can't miss. Personally, it is one of my favorite attractions.

We did the Fanstasmic Dinner Package when we went to WDW a few years ago. We at a Brown Derby, which was delicious!! I'm not too sure what other restaraunts are included, but I'm almost positive Mama Roses is and maybe Hollywood and Vine. The dinner package was very nice but I honestly don't think its necessary. We chose not to do the dinner package again - it is very nice and convienent, but we were happy just waiting in line and eating popcorn and other "fun" food while waiting for the show to begin. Even with the package, they recommended us to get to the show about an hour or so before it started. As everyone else said, the show is absolutly a must see!!! Its one of my favorite things at disney!! Its wonderful!! I hope this information helps - if you have any more questions, just let us know!!!!
