Yeah, tattoos are not that painful. I mean, they hurt but not as bad as people make it out to be. You can best describe it as someone picking at a scab for a while. The aftermath is like hot water on a sunburn. Best time to get them is late in the afternoon or at night. You clean it off after the recommended 3 hrs and go to bed. Next morning, not that bad REALLY. The only one that hurt a bit more than the other 4 is the butterfly on my back, that one made me sweat and I felt a little more soar than the others. I'm proud of all of them though. So if you're serious, just go for it!

Hey hakunamatata I skipped labor pains too. I had my daughter by a serrogate so I would not know how labor feels. Not that I would mind that kind of pain. I just could not have a baby. Not for lack of trying though.

I'm thinking about getting the caterpillar blowing smoke rings from Alice in Wonderland. I don't smoke, but since I was a kid, I've loved that character.
I'm passing kidney stones right now so I fear no other pain on Earth. A tattoo sounds like a nice pain vacation.

Thanks Minnie*Mickey! That one is my favorite. And Disneyluv10, your absolutely right about one thing--It IS a BIG decision and it shouldn't be made hastily. I know people that have been stuck with tacky tattoos because they didn't really think about it. All my tattoos are in places that can be seen if I allow people to (meaning it wouldn't be indescente exposure). Otherwise no one can even tell I have them. I can still wear a nice dress (even strapless) and I no one has to know. But I do choose to let one or two be seen on a daily basis I thought about it and my next one will be the siloutte of Ariel sitting on a rock in the moonlight. Of course I will customize some things from the picture I've seen.

having experienced tatoo's, kidney stones and labor pains...a tattoo pain is way easy, labor pains are waaaaay awful(horrible, unforgettable), and kidney stones are like steping on a bee-an out of the blue "OUCH WHAT WAS THAT?" pain.
I have two dolphins jumping out of water on my right ankle and I want EEYORE on the inside of my left!!! It really is not all that bad and I am the biggest wimp around!!! I did the dophins to prove to ny husband I was not a wimp!!

my cousins husband has pooh bear (english lit prof) I think is really cool. I have mixed feelings about tat's. My husband has one & I hate it. Ex girlfriends name. My theory is when getting a tattoo of a name make sure it is either "mother" or your childs name. when you get a spouse or significant other permanently etched on your bod it is the kiss of death for that relationship. I have seen only one cool solution. my bro-in-law had VOID put over ex wife's name. I used to work for vascular surgeon that would do laser removals. expensive painful & could still tell what tattoo was from scarring.

What kind of Tattoos do I want to have? A big Harley-Davidson Motorcycles logo w/ orange flames on my back. For my arms I'd get some very small tattoos, that way I can have lots of them on my arms to show to my fiends and relatives.
