Question Cost and types of Watercraft rentals?

Can anyone tell me the types and costs of watercraft rentals there are at the resorts at WDW especially the Beach Club? My brother-in-law was asking me and I have no clue. He was curious for our upcoming trip. Thanks.

at the yatch club, thats right next door to the beach club (walking distance), they rent:

1) sea racyer boats: small two seater boats
2) canopy boats: slightly larger then the sea racyer can seat 5 or 6
3)pantoon boats: they are availble in 15ft lengths my guess is they seat around 10
4)breathless with driver: its a 1930's reproduction boat that was used in one of the dick tracy movies. its the fastest boat at wdw, it can also be reserved for firework cruises but its very dificult to get a reservation for them.

it should be noted that the boats out of the yatch club marina are slower then the ones at the MK for safety reasons as they have a smaller area for the boats to travel in.

I will get a price list some time this week for you as well as some pictures of the various boats availible for rent.

ok I got the prices:

sea ray sea racyer: $21.59 per half hour (i didn't see a sign at the YC that said what the hourly rates were but I know at the MK area a hour is only $32ish.)

21 foot pantoon boat is $34.88 per half hour

canopy boats are $24.88 per half hour

breathless is $80.00 per half hour but it includes the cost of the driver.

I'm having trouble uploading photo's to Talkdisney right now but I uploaded to my yahoo photo album so take a look there

just be aware the pictures of the sea racyers in motion were taken by the MK and they have more power over there and go around 20 MPH. also do a web search on sammy duvals water sports they rent jet ski's at the cont. nd have a bunch of other water sports there such as parasailing, water sking and so forth.

No problem more then happy to help anytime.

I also forgot to mention at some resorts (cont., GF, Poly) they rent hobbie wave catermerans they are $12.50 per half hour. I have added the picture of one to my photo gallery in the above link. also I'm not sure when your coming down but there is a marina at DTD, there they rent the pantoon boats, canopy boats, and Mercury watermouses. the watermouse is similar to the sea racyer, except they are replacing the watermouse with the sea racyer. most differences are cosmetic, the sea racyer has a sharper nose making it easier to tip though.

also if your brother in law is intrested in renting a jet ski, he might also try lake buena vista watersports, it is off site but on little lake byron, the lake is not very busy ever.
