Can anyone tell me anything about the clock on Cinderella's Castle? It looks like it has the planets or something on it besides the regular hour and minute hands, but I can't tell what they are.

Jeff~ I so want to be able to help you with this as it is an awsome question - but I'll be honest I've never even noticed before - I thought I'd bump this back up to see if anyone has any info on it! You've really piqued my curiousity!

The hands are not just straight hands, but sort of like circles with a little arrow on the end. I used to wonder if the circles had days or something on it, but from what I have noticed they are just decorative. I did learn in a trivia game recently that it is different from other roman numeral clocks because other clocks use IV for the number 4 and Cinderella's Castle uses IIII.

Cinderella Castle's "IIII" is actually based on a more traditional form of Roman numerals and can also be seen at the original castle clock in the Cinderella movie (out on DVD as part of the Platinum Collection October 2005)

and the hadns on the clock seems to look more like 2 tear drops. I think it's more a design thing taken from whatever style of architecture they based the clock on.
