Cinderella's Castle???

I just heard from a family member that Cinderella's

Castle at WDW is also going under changes for the 50th anniv. celebration. Do you know if this is true and if so does anyone know what state the exterior of the castle is in right now???

We will arrive there two weeks from today and I will be so sad if the castle is not in great photo condition.

Aqua...try doing a search through the threads as I know this topic has been discussed before, including some pretty amazing pictures of what the castle will look like...I think you'll be impressed. I don't know, however, if it is already completely decorated or not yet...maybe someone else knows.

I have my doubts about this overlay, as well as the one for Disneyland's castle. Isn't restoring the castle to it's original glory enough? Infact, I think I like the birthday cake-overlay more than what they've come up with this year

I agree I like the birthday cake better too! It was so cute and bright! I wish they would bring it back....

I love what they are doing to both castles!! Basically the DL castle is just getting a face lift and some banners etc. And I like the gold spirals and characters on the WDW one. IMHO it's much better than the cake.

I was just in WDW two weeks ago, so far they have a few of the spires done. What they are doing is adding a few gold banners and a gold overlay on the spires.

I went to WDW last week, and the gold on the castle looks GREAT!! They're adding the stuff slowly, but they're doing a great job! It's in mint photo condition too!
