Arrow Tattoos

What do you think of tatoos? Some people think its an excuse for self mutilation. And some people including me think its art. I have 4 tattoo. And unfortunately my parents think its gross and that people that have tattoos are criminals. What's your opinion, and do you have any tattoos? why? or why not?

Text should be no larger than 3 Pt., per the TalkDisney.com Terms of Service and Community Standards.

Ey, I'm thinking of getting the Disneyland Castle (just the outline and shading in black) somewhere on me, what you think?

I love the arts of tattoos.

The only kinds of tattoos I do not like are the ones that represent street gangs or criminals of any kind.

The kinds of tattoos I do like are the kinds that I see bikers have. Including the Harley-Davidson bar & shield symbol tattoos.

I also like the kinds that have skulls, snakes, eagles, dragons, wolves, cats, dogs, and/or the kinds that are patriotic.

I think about getting a tattoo every now and then. The only thing is I'm not sure what kind I want.

I don't mind tattoos, but I myself probably wouldn't get one because I'm afraid of needles and wouldn't want to see a permenant thing on my skin for the rest of my life. lol. There are some tattoos that are like a piece of artwork and look soo cool!

I don't mind tattoo's. I don't have any myself. I just can't bring myself to do it. I am not afraid of needles but I hear some of them are painful to get. My sister has three. She has two flamingos and a little devil. She wants more. We just think she is kind of crazy because she is over 50 and got her first one for her 50th birthday. She even talked my other sister into getting one. We would not put her down for getting them. They really do fit her personality.

I agree with Munchi on all accounts

See.....I don't mind them, but once you get older, they just don't look as cute!! My grandpa has a few and I can hardley tell what they are through the faded green-grey, saggin skin, and liver spots!!! I just don't know if I'd want one if I knew it would look like that when I was old But if they fit you....then go for it!! That, to me, is the only reason I would ever get one and the only reason I would HOPE anyone would ever get a tattoo...if they really thought about it and it had a lot of sentimental value.

Random places (appropriate places!!!) I've seen tattoos: on ear lobes like piercings, on the back of ears and on the inside of the bottom lip (against the lower teeth!) Way to be hidden!!

I have considered getting one, but I'm too chicken to sit there!! Plus, my mom would kill me!!! But other than that, I don't think people are bad just because they have tattoos nor do I think that it's self mutilation, just a really stong stomach for pain!!!!! I do think it is art if it is done tactfully (like grafitti....I think it's pretty if it looks good and if it is an appropriate setting)
If I were to ever get one, I would never get a light color that would fade fast!! I couldn't handle the "touching up"!! It's like getting a tattoo over and over again!!! Ouch!!

Its everyones own decision and I like to look at them...but I think nowadays you are more of an individual if you dont get one or a piercing.
Everyone has one or more and a piercing it seems nowadays.

If they're done tastefully and not look like prison tats then that's fine. I have a tiny one of a sun in my bikini area--it's well hidden, though. I got it when I was 21 (i'm 34 now) I do have to mention a guy I saw one time at Epcot who had his WHOLE entire body covered exclusively with Disney tatoos!! I could't stop looking at him--EVERY character and everything that had to do with Disney tatooed on his body. I wanted to take a picture with him but my husband told me not to bother him. TOO COOL!!

It depens. I think it's okay to have a small tattoo like a chinese symbol or a flower. I wouldn't want a huge tattoo espcially when you get old and get winkels and the tattoo looks messed up. I agree with DisneyJedi with the with tattoo with gang signs on them. I'm 13 so I'm to young for a permanent tattoo but when I turn 18, I consider getting one.

I'm with muchie and mermaidprincess, while tattoos are not for me; (I'm just not into pain) I know many people who have tattoos. You can't judge a book by it's cover, or a person by the tattoo they have choosen, if you do, you miss out on a lot in life.
But tattoos do fade & sag over time... it's not a pretty sight.
