Greetings Everyone,

I have a couple of questions related to buying Disney Dollars.
I guess what I am hearing out there in the world is there will be new Disney Dollars for the 50th. Is this correct?

Second, the Disney store in Chicago use to have a form to order Disney Dollars, as of today they don't have such a form any more. Does anyone know how I could order Disney Dollars? I want to suprise my daughters before the trip.

I believe we are getting new ones for the 50th.
No more forms for ordering, the only way you can get them is through the park. I'm 99% sure that you can't order them through the park either. If you need some you can PM me, I'm a Cast Member and can get them for you. I did this last month for another TD member for Easter

Yes, the offical word is we are getting new Disney Dollars for the 50th. There will be two different versions: the first version will be released May 5th, the second version will be released in early 2006.

There will be $1, $5, $10 and (for the first time every) $50.
First Version
Dumbo $1
Donald $5
Stitch $10
Mickey $50

Second Version
Cinderella $1
Goofy $5
Minnie $10
Mickey $50

A special edition $50 Mickey one will be released July 17, limited to only 1,000.

I have always just gone to my local disney store and bought them. Can you not do that anymore? My kids always start stcoking up on them before we take our trips. They get them from everyone for their birthdays and Christmas when we are planning another trip.

I called my Disney Store in Chicago and the reply was "They don't know yet and will hopefully find out in the begining of May". Here is a link that shows the new Disney Dollars and the release date of May 5th at Disneyland.

Just went to the Disney Store in Chicago and purchased Disney Dollars. The Disney Dollars should be back in the store, but not all of them will be the 50th Anniversary Issue. The only new dollars in Chicago were the $10 Stitch. The others were $5 Goofy from 2003 and $1 Mickey from 2000.

I called the disney store in madison Wisconsin and they still have the old ones, she said they were going to be getting the new ones soon. We are having a garage sale this weekend and with the profit buying disney dollars. I figure then we wont have the tempetation to spend them! Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I'm glad to hear they still have them. We saved our loose change for a year for the kids spending money then right before we left we purchased Disney Dollars. That was in 1998. We're going back in March '06 and will do the same.
