'Ello all.

You've probably seen me around on the boards already since I usually just jump on in before introducing myself. DOH.

My name is Cherie, Cherieosaurus has become my nickname in the pixel art community. I do little and big pixel works such as those bouncing smilies and what not. *grin* I'm 24 and a Junior at NKU...a Theater major with a concentration in costuming. I am just one of those people who love to create and entertain. Right now I'm just illustrating for a book and having fun with it.

Ever since I was 6 I wanted to be an animator for disney. I don't think it'll ever happen just because I can't offer what they are looking for in artists. I'm really awful at animating...BUT I love doing backrounds and such so maybe I can get me some backround training for the films haha.

Moving on, I worked at Disney on an internship back in '02. CP or College Program. It was really awesome and it doesn't matter your age, as long as you're taking a college class, you can go. I made friends of all ages. I worked in the costuming department and basically did laundry and parades. I Loved being on the Share a dream come true parade. I made great friends with a lot of people. I have to say my all time FAVORITE Disney parade is the Halloween one. Malifecent and Captain hook RAP. You don't get any better than a rapping villian haha. I worked on the christmas parade....the one they filmed and will probably use for a couple of years. *wipes head* I was pulling 18 hour shifts for that one. You would never belive all the work that goes on back stage. It's truly amazing.

I've kept in contact with some folks I worked with and plan on going back for an advanced internship with the imagineers or the costume designers and hopefully start a nice career there with costuming and what not.

I'm huge into masks and puppetry and I have to say that Julie Taymor (Creative genius behing Lion King on Broadway) is my HERO. She's such a brilliant and inspiring young woman. She's right up there with Walt Disney on my greatest inspirations list.

I'm such a Disney Freak that I have two copies of each vhs movie (Since I watch them Repeatedly I don't wanna burn them out and be left with nothing since they are only re-released every decade) and now I'm starting my DVD collection. I have dolls and beanies, stuffed animals...you name it. I even have all 100 of the mc'd's 100 years of Disney toys. *hangs head* I'm so whipped.

Favortie movie: Beauty and the Beast
Favorite Villian: Ursula
Favorite character: The tweedles (I met these guys at Disney world...they are INSANE, I love it)

I do have one word of advice for you when you go to Disney. PLAY with the characters, they love it so much.

I'm a talk a holic so I'll go on and on and on in posts, forgive me ahead of time. I've been lurking at this site for some time but i decided...WHAT THE HEY, let's become a member....so I did. And here I am.

If you plan on going to Pleasure Island while you're at Disney, I would say If you like crowds, go on Tuesday...that's cast members get in free night....and they like to party.

At last at long last I will be the first one to welcome a new member to the boards. This had never happend to me. If I am not the first one then that means someone just happend to click the submit button before I did he he.

Anyways I see your point of having the same copy of each Vhs. That makes sense. I have 3 copies of Bambi on Dvd and 3 Copies on Vhs.

I see you are into art. yes it would be cool if you got a job at Disney for your art work. But if you don't so be it, that does not make you any less of a person. Like when 4 or 5 people are trying out for a part to a Disney Character the 3 or 4 people who don't get the part are no less important than the person who get the part. I would hold to this belief even if I where the one to pick the one person out of the 4 or 5 for the part.

I have some Disney Stuffed Animals so I see we are going to get along very well. I also have other Stuffed Animals. I love collecting Stuffed Animals. I go on ebay to stores both Disney and Non-Disney, Toy Stores, Walmart and other grocery stores ect. and if I see Stuffed Animals that I really like many times I buy them.

Anyways welcome to this happy place of pure Disney Magic. You and I should become good friends in this happy land.
