Question Food and Wine Festival

Hello,
My wife and I are going to Disney World during the Food and Wine Festival this Nov. Can anyone who has been in past years give us some advice or feedback on their experiences?
:&bulb:
We have reserved one of the Signature Dinners and the Vert. Wine Tasting Event. These are both fairly expensive add-ons, and we're wondering if they're worth the extra money.
Thanks, Michael

hi michael and welcome. my husband and i have been going to the festival for the past 3 years. we have never done the wine tasting, but we love the different foods. you can walk around World Showcase and a number of different countries will have booths set up and you can purchase a sample of their beverage and/or food. our favorite last year was the sugar cane chicken from south africa and the mara's irish creme from ireland.:mEars:

Talking

:&cool: I've never felt more welcome.
Thanks to all of you for your feedback and info. I only wish I had found this site sooner.
My wife and I have been at Christmas, May, and now we're ready to try this November Food and Wine Festival. Food and Wine are two of our favorite things, next to Disney World.
We're excited, but have reservations about some of the pricey ($100 - $150 per person) options we've chosen.
My thought is that Disney USUALLY gives you your money's worth!
How many days 'till November 4th?

:&clap: Welcome to TalkDisney Michael1218!!! :&clap:

We've gone to WDW for the F&W festival for the past few years and loved every minute of it. There are some really interesting foods to try. We usually just start at one end of WS and eat our way around the world, sampling a little bit from all the different booths. I seem to remember that most food offerings were in the $3 range and the glasses of wine were between like $2.50 - $6 dollars depending on the winery and vintage.

Hope you have a great trip!!!

And Michael...I just realised...if you and your wife get yourselves a TD cap or TD shirt for each other, and take some great photos of yourselves at the park where the TD logo is visible...Ryan will reimburse you and your TD merchandise is FREE!!! :bounce:

Also, Steveo, one of our moderators here is going to be in WDW at the time y'all are! (But he's coming in from London!) If y'all can hook up here at TD, y'all might be able to meet up at the park and that would be way cool to have some members meeting at the parks! Might make for some fantastic trip reports and photos!

Just some thoughts.

Talking F&W Fest

Hey! I'm from New Orleans too!

The F&W fest is great. I'm sure some of the other people in here from NOLA will agree that the food booths do remind me a little of JazzFest (except the crowd is much better).

It really is a great culinary festival. Coming from a big restaurant town. I love going down there and being able to try alittle of everything.

I do think the special dinners are a bit overpriced. For my money, I will hit Victoria & Alberts next time instead of the Winemaker dinners.

Hey! If you get down to the fest this year, try Abita Beer.

Later!
