I was reading the thread about what rides people have been on that broke down and it made me think of a funny story about the POTC ride. So I thought it would be fun to hear about other peoples funniest Disney Vacation stories.

Here is my story...I have always been a HUGE POTC fan and always tell my husband that I should have married a pirate instead of him as a joke. So DH and I went to Disney World in early 2005 and one of the first rides of the day for us was POTC. The park was pretty empty and thought it was great that there was no line for the ride. Then we go to get on the boat and we were the only people in line at all so the young cast member put is in a boat all alone and the ride begins. During the beginning of the ride I turned around and there was no one in our boat or on any of the boats in view and was joking with DH about being all alone. So later in the ride we were sitting in the boat, enjoying the ride and for some reason I turned around and looked behind us and there as a man sitting in the back row all alone. I just about jumped out of my skin. I spent the rest of the ride a little creeped out about the fact that this man appeared out of no where and that we were none the wiser. So the ride is over and I get out of the boat just about as fast as I can with out being too obvious and the scruffy man looks at me, smiles (with quite a few teeth missing), winks one eye and says "aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" just like a real pirate and then laughs a little evil laugh. I just about died. Once the shock wore I started laughing uncontrollable to the point of tears. I had missed out on my one chance to meet my pirate in shining armor . See...magical moments really do happen at Disney!

Wow, creepy, in a way, but also hilarious. It's like, 'Where'd you come from!?' Haha, I don't think this story is really funny, but, oh well...

I was in Splash Mountain, and it was pretty late at night, so the teenagers who were sitting in the boat in front of me decided to try something. One of them stood up and was about to walk off the boat when a voice on the loud speakers of the ride told him to sit down. He about jumped out of his skin, and almost took a dive into the water. So he shakily sat back down for the rest of the ride. Then at the end of the ride, I saw the cast member who worked there smile at him oddly. Hehe. I bet he knows something.

LOL! I was in the store at Norway watching the huge troll there, and I was saying to my brother who (I thought) was behind me "look at the size of that thing! it is humongous!" when a strange voice answers "yeah, they can be freaky tall" I turn around and I swear, the guy must have been 7 feet tall! LOL! well, maybe 6' 3 or something, dressed in CM garb... I nearly jumped atop the troll! finally after we all stopped laughing, we took photos.
