i pretty much dont think unless they seal them by sucking the air out you will always have air bubbles. they call that a feature.. lol

I believe they are caused by a (really) slow leak somewhere in the globe.

Okey, be prepared for the biological/chemical explanation from a scientist:

When water is added to a container, it produces a phenomenon called a meniscus. This is the appearance of a downward curve to the surface of the water. You can see it really well in a glass test tube or graduated cylinder. YOu can sometimes see it in a clear, half full straw. Its the opposite of the mound at the top of a completely filled container produced by surface tension. For this reason, you can never have a "perfect" amount of water in the container. Either you have the air bubble from the meniscus or you will break the surface tension of the mound. Sorry, just enjoy them!!!

Sorry, I know I'm a geek! Always have been! I don't want to make eveyone hate me now because they think I am no fun, so here is the fun explanation....

The 7 Dwarves for an assembly line. Each is responsible for some part of the globe from shaping the glass to painting to filling to closing. Dopey is the one who caps each one off, but it takes the other 6 a long time. So Dopey gets thirsty waiting and when one is handed to him, he takes a drink before he puts the cap on!!

I have also heard though, (and maybe Kellie can confirm or deny this) that you shouldn't display your globes in direct sunlight, because it will cause the bubbles to become larger over time (perhaps due to evaporation?).
