Chef Mickey's for Dinner

I heard that Chef Mickeys is really bad for Dinner time. Is this true (I hope not because I made one of my reservations here)?

we were there for dinner about 3 weeks ago and it was great. Food was OK, not brilliant, but we all had a great time!

I booked our reservations there for dinner as well - it's our First Night In Disney "event". I figure you can't go wrong with the Mouse!

All these posts extolling the virtues of Chef Mickey's for breakfast is starting to make me a little nervous. Is dinner not good? Maybe I should rearrange and try to do a breakfast there instead? Oh jeeze, here I go again... .

I always say... stick with your first choice! IF something were to go wrong after you switch it, you'll always kick yourself and think that you should never have changed! I'm going for dinner too!

I have never had lunch there, I had breakfest there but years ago (maybe 8-10 year ago) and I have dinner there a few times a year. There food is just as good as any other disney restuarent. The enviroment there is awesome.

Cool

Chef Mickey's is a high energy affair...if you want a quiet meal...this isn't the place.

We had dinner at Chef Mickeys in June and we loved it. They have a kid friendly section (food and height) where the children can serve themselves. The characters come around and interact with all the patrons and there is a fun dance they do every half hour to an hour. The food was good and there was plenty of it. My kids loved it. Unfortunately, I cannot not compare it to breakfast there as we have only done dinner. The down side was that we did have to wait past our reservation time, but it was worth it. Hope this helps.

We have eaten at Chef Mickey's for both breakfast and dinner. We liked the breakfast "food" better because we like eggs, french toast, etc. more then what they served at dinner. But we loved eating there for both meals. The atmosphere is fun, especiallly when the characters do their dance and swinging napkin routine. The one thing that we loved about eating dinner there is we were seated in the back room which has a great view of Cinderella's Castle which was beautiful to look at. So the second time we ate there for dinner we requested that room. Doesn't get any better then taking the monorail to the Contemporary and eating with Mickey and Minnie while looking at the Castle.
