On one of my trips to WDW my cousins and I were waiting for Wishes to start in the Plaza restaurant. Our waiter was talking to us about all sorts of things because there were not very many people there and we got on the subject of Tinkerbell flying across the sky (they had never seen it). My younger cousin then asked a funny question. She wanted to know if the Tinkerbell person could be a male instead of a female. Well, I have no idea, but since no one sees them up close, it could be a possibility right? I know, this is a totally wierd question!! Is that possible?

Not a weird question at all. To answer your question Tink is very mysterious and over the years has been portrayed by both both genders on stage, screen and even in the capacity you mentioned. In that case it's more important Tink is light enough for the rigging to make sure Tink is plenty safe flying over the castle.

Hi, I'm new here, and this is going to be a bit strange for a first post. However... this thread hit a nerve and I could not resist making a comment.
I have for years imagined that Disney security would take an unruly guest (you have to picture someone being really mean but perhaps not dangerous), truss them up, dress them as Tinkerbell, and send them down the cable to the adoring cheers of thousands of unsuspecting guests. Who would believe them later when they complained?
Next time you're in Magic Kingdom and see someone you think needs to be "punished" (as when Boss said about Jar Jar, "He is to be... punished"), imagine the person being made into an unwilling Tinkerbell and maybe you'll feel better.
Sorry if you're not able to see Tink quite the same way next time you watch the beginning of Wishes.
Favorite Park: Disneyland, altough Disney Cali Adv was alot of fun, too! Disneyland just reminds so much of my childhood.
Favorite Attraction: Pirrate's & Haunted Mans.

I am a BIG Tinkerbell fan and when i've gone o Disneyland i've never seen here walking around giving autograhs or what not ... I always assumed it was because she's supposed to be tiny and how can you recreate that right? Newya, I like to say the reason that she's not there is because I am Tinkerbell and I can't be walking around because it's my day off and i'm just visiting!!! silly i now! but I LOVE Tink!!! But i'm a girl just incase you wanted to know!!!
