Change Jars

Does anyone else use a jar to collect loose change. Dana and I through all our change that we have in our pockets into a jar and then roll it and use it for our vacations. It is a great way to save up extra $$$$ for that disney trip!

Befor our paris trip i rolled my jar and had over 350.00!!

:mEars: We have done this for years! I usually roll the change in November & find that we have about 2 to 3 hundred in change.
I apply it to Christmas though as a rule. :mEars:

I am surprised to see how much actually accumulates! It's a great surprise when you finally count it.

Yuppers...I have a change jar. I keep it right on top of a shelf above my washer and dryer. The rule at my house is if you leave money in your pockets in any denomination of $20 or less then it goes in the jar. Thanks to the laziness of the other two people whose laundry I do I've accumulated a nice chunk of change since my last trip in June. Hopefully by next month I'll have enough to cover my car rental charges.

This is a great idea...except for artists! We have to dive into the change jar constantly!

(So in the future folks...be nice to artists! They really need to allow their change jars to accumulate change! ) LOL!

Up here in the great white north, we have $1 and $2 coins. At the end of the day, I simply empty all the change in my pocket into small container. Prior to out trip to WDW, I told the kids they could have whatever was in the container to spend on whatever they wanted. Needless to say, my two months of dumping produced $150 cdn ( perhaps $100 US ) and two happy kids.

We do the change thing, even dumping $50 bills in when we feel that we can spare it. (which isn't often.) :&Sad:

we also have a change jar here in our house . We started it back in march and now have alittle over $50 . and still growing. we told the kids we will split it up between the 3 of them . we plan t obuy disney dollars with it and let the kids buy a nice gift for them selfs while at disney.

I keep all my change in an old large juice container that has Mickey and the gang around the top. I am going to take it to the bank and use it for buying some pins at Disneyland.

Well Dis...since you're doing laundry, I got a whole bunch here for you.......btw, are you charging by the piece or by the load? LOL, one things for sure, I locate all the change before the laundry hits the washer......

A friend kept a water cooler jug for his change. He did not touch any of the money in it until it was full. After two days of sortind, rollinga and counting, he had $2,000.
