treehouse inspired by the film Swiss Family Robinson, high above ground in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Theme Park.
Transport yourself into the lives of the Robinsons, a family of 6 who were
tossed onto a deserted South Seas island after a shipwreck.
This walk-through attraction takes you way up high—6 stories, to be exact—as
you explore the well-improvised living quarters and everyday effects of the
parents and their 4 boys. There's even a bucket pulley system that brings
water up to the family's home.
Swiss Family Treehouse is easily the envy of anyone who has ever dreamed of
living "away" from it all. Stay deserted in this leafy paradise for a while! Facts:

The treehouse has approximately 116 steps and takes close to 15 minutes to
navigate!
"Swiss Family Robinson" was written in 1812 by Johann David Wyss. The Disney
film of the same name was released in 1960.
When the Magic Kingdom opened at Walt Disney World on October 1,
1971, the Swiss Family Treehouse was one of the original attractions of
Adventureland. Swiss Family Treehouse Hidden Mickeys: When you are in
the Dining room, the room with the shell sink, look for a Hidden Mickey in
