Question about staying at a Universal hotel

When you stay at one of the three hotels, you can use your room key as a "fastpass," right?

What I'm wondering is can you still use the key on the day you check out? Most hotels give you a key card these days and they let you keep it.

If we check out at 11:00, can we use the key the whole day?

Also, what are the three hotels like? Is there a big difference between the Loews and the Hard Rock?

I don't know about the room key on the day you check out. I do know the difference between Loews and the Hard Rock. We have stayed at both. At Loews your close to the Hulk. We heard it all night long every night. I guess they were testing or working on it. Its a great place to stay though. Its very nice. At the Hard Rock, they play Rock and Roll music all day. Which I love.. Its just a quick walk to the park or ride the boat at both places. The Hard Rock to me is a better place just because of the theme. The pool is great and the restaurant has the best food in my opinion.
