Wow! I would love to do that once I turn 18.
Can you explain it to me a bit more, though?
Like, do you have to be enrolled in a college in the area, or what?
That definitely sounds really cool.
While waiting for some answers, be sure to check out the other great threads in this forum about the college program. You will find lots of great info.

You can be in any college, and do the CP (i went to school in NJ). I have to say, the CP is an amazing experience. If you have any questions, I can try to answer them.

So, I could be going to school in Chicago, but come back to Florida to do interning...?
Because I was thinking about going to the Theatre School at DePaul in Chicago to major in theatre arts.
But I might change my major, and I might stay in Florida. Haha.

Re: For all interested in the Disney College Program!
I wish I knew about this when I was applying to post secondary school. It actually breaks my heart that I missed this opportunity. I guess I could go back to school -- but I guess I'll just save my money and visit disneyworld instead, since I've already completed all my schooling, years ago! LOL

Re: For all interested in the Disney College Program!
When I first transferred to my current location, we had a CP who was in her 40s. She decided to go back to college at the same time as her daughter and elected to enter the program. She actually roomed with another "older" CP.
Which brings me to my next comment. When I asked around about the program for my sister (a senior at Univ of CO), I was told that she would have to live in the housing at Little Lake Bryan, and could not live with me. That nixed it.
There are pros & cons, so I hear from the CPs that come to our merchandise location...

I'm surprised they said that, as it is possible to live off-site.

Yep, a married couple can do the CP.
Also, there is no maximum age limit. I know a mother of 4 (who was in her 40s) that did the CP.

Sunshine,
For the ICP it depends on your country.. I would suggest calling Disney Casting and asking your specific questions..
As for your role you don't get much choice You can audition to be friends with a character but if you are an average height unless you're a really good dancer or a very fast learner you're kinda up the creek without a paddle... but apply anyway and try your hardest! Even if You are given a role you think you will hate You never know you might like it.. for example.. I've worked a lot of retail. And when I got my acceptance packet for the career start program I was overjoyed to be accepted but then I saw I was gonna be Merch.. and I really wanted lifeguard! So I thought I was going to hate it.. but When I got there ( even though I HATE retail) I was cast as a MSE MERCH CM at MK and I LOVED it!! When my program ended and I arrived in Boston I cried cuz I wanted to go "home" lol! I now say that I am "home sick" and my friends laugh at me..
Also Disney provides housing and transportation once you arrive so its very easy to get places and your rent comes out Of your pay... definitely do the program! You'll be glad you did!!!

I loved the programs they changed me and my life forever and I knew what I wanted to do after.
I highly recommend anyone interested to do it.
My first program was icp where I worked in fantasyland attractions for 2 months.
But best part I got to stay in the cool, old treehouse villas
After I did my ip year programme in epcots uk merch since I am from the uk.
It was all amazing but now I miss the USA n getting to go wdw regularly.
Re: For all interested in the Disney College Program!
Yeah, the CP definitely changed my life too

Re: For all interested in the Disney College Program!
You're further ahead then I was. I didn't even know about the CP until the semester I applied for it (my first semester in college). I wish I had known about the CP in HS

I am VERY interested in doing the CP. I'm currently in 10th grade and don't live in FL. Can anyone please give me some information on entering the CP and requirements? Also, any informational websites would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!
