Pet Resort=Stinky POR??!

First off, let me START by saying I am a pet lover. I have a dog and I love her. That being said, she IS a DOG and she does get STINKY. I just heard that the new pet resort is gonna be right NEXT to or Across the street from POR! This is my favorite resort and I love it there! My concern is this: ALL the other pet facilities are CLOSING when this one opens. So EVERY stinky pet that EVERY guest brings will be right across the street from POR. Also, these pets must be walked. Combine every pet and all it's 'droppings' with the HOT florida humidity and that equals a "STANK" the likes of which I dont even want to imagine. IS anyone else concerned about this? Does anyone know what Disney is planning to do to keep the stench down?? Any input would be appreciated. I'm supposed to be booking tomorrow and dont want to switch resorts unless I HAVE to!

I would not worry. I saw it being built this past spring and it will be across the street and a little bit north of the POR entrance.
I think it will be far enough away not to be a bother.

I can't beleive that the staff at the pet resort won't clear up after the dogs do "what dogs have to do".

With a resort the size of POR, I'd be amazed if it's allowed to get smelly.

Another note, I have never noticed an odor problem from the other kennels while in passing.
I still don't think there will be a problem.

I don't think this is an issue at all, the upkeep standards are probably better at the Pet Resort than human hotels out there. As Mickey Crazy mentioned it's down the street from the actual resort and quite a ways from the actual resort or rooms. As well as Disney plans things I wouldn't worry too much.

The way Disney operates I wouldn't be surprised if there were little robots that popped out of the ground and zapped the poo (not Winnie

) with a laser to get rid of it.

Seriously though, I'm sure Disney will make it as though you never even knew the pet resort was there.

hahhaaa! "Poo-zapping Robots"!!! I love it. I never noticed a smell from the other kennels, either, but dont know if i've ever been close enough to one to smell them. Thanks guys.

I have no idea where the others were either. Do the guests take the pets to the resort for the night? Or do they keep them boarded in the kennel?

Even tho we have a dog, I am allergic, and long haired dogs are the worst for me, I would hate to think that POR and POFQ would become havens for people with pets. Being the closest resort to the kennel.

Hmmm never had to think about this before, I leave my pets at home when I vacation. I always guess my pets prefer not to travel. Silly me!
