You could book in Nov. then all you have to worry about is thinking of Dinning Res. exspeacialy if you want really popular places. You should always have that list ready. I usually book most of my res as soon as I reach the 160 day marker lol.

I always book as early as possible you can always call back if you hear they are doing a dinig plan free or cheaper room rates and disney will discount what you already booked and remember to book your ADR's at least 180 days out, Have a magical trip!

Re: When should i book my reservations?
I start planning after each trip, but I don't finalize until 3 - 5 months out. I vacation in August of each year. The first few months after my trip, I research other options, and by Christmas, I've decided what I'm going to do. I then spend the first quarter of the year figuring out what my plan will be. Then I book around April/May. I'd not do it less then 3 months out, not only for price, but just so you can solidify the dates in your plans. 6 months is about right. However, if you do it less then 6 months, it won't ruin anything.

Re: When should i book my reservations?
I'm in the planning stages and I am going in April and booking in October hopefully
November should be good so you can have 6 months ahead of time for booking.

We book as soon as we decide we're going back....we're room rate only people not interested in FD or any of that. Basically we check for value seasons (we're flexible to all year) and when discounts are out but we'll book our room at our favorite resort (room only) and if a code or discount comes out we call and have it applied (we do it via CRO by phone) and sometimes get AAA discount right off the bat..
FD does nothing for us and we aren't into scheduling our meals 180 days out at restaurants we know nothing about... and after 45+ trips always eaten where we wanted without any ADR's.....but we are big WDW fans and with a room only reservation, it just costs us one nights deposit to reserve the room with easy cancellations....so we reserve something then check the train schedules and make our arrangements... Easy peasy!

Re: When should i book my reservations?
Most people tend to book early. This is especially important if you are planning on any ADRs. If you book now at rack rate, sticker shock for sure, but you will have an opportunity to add any sale codes that come out later for your travel dates. This will be easy to do if you use a good travel agent. I would wait to purchase any flights to see if you need to adjust your travel dates slightly for any resort discounts. The discount check-in dates are getting more and more complicated. If you are flexible you are much more likely to be able to apply the code when it is released. May is a wonderful time to go! Have a terrific trip!
