Thumbs up Re: Walk ins anyone???

My dd and I got walk-up seating at Tusker House on 07/05/08, and waited only 15 minutes. We also got immediate seating for 4 at O'hana for dinner on 05/24/08, so I would say it is worth a try any time! I am currently hoping for a seating for 4 at Chef Mickey's around 5pm any day between 8/19-8/25, so wish me luck!

Alot of the responses were two years ago. Maybe things have changed....but maybe not. I just started booking. I wanted the most popular and what i consider to have good food. I booked California Grill. Already my orginal time I wanted was booked up. Last week of August first week of September this year. I booked LeCelliers. Had to get a lunch instead of a dinner at the time I wanted. Flying Fish which I got a good time. I wanted a meal combo for dinner and a fantasmic show (which there are 3 restuarants which have a private seating section). Tried the italian restaurant San something, in Hollywood Studio... all booked up. Tried to book Narcoossee's. Had to go for a different day as they were booked until very late dinners. I got Jiko's at a good time which is a very good restaurant. Rose and Crown was a very tough one. I had to change a day. And the time was as close to what I could get for the 9 oclock light show at Epcot. I will request an outside table so I can watch the show, but i got 7:35 and it starts at 9 O'clock. I am hoping to get seated late when asking for a outside table.... Imagine hoping to wait for seating. But what I am saying its OK to book early, if you are sure of the places you would like to dine. I can't book everything 6 months in advance but the ones you really want i would say to do so. The less popular places you can go when it is convenient.
