Best appetizers and desserts
What are your favorite table service restaurant appetizers and desserts at WDW?
I'm especially looking for good things to eat at the resort restaurant bars.

Re: Best appetizers and desserts
Narcoussies has the best tomatoes with aged balsamic vinegar and basil cream. And for dessert they also have this great cheesecake with almond crust as well as a berry sauce. I can't wait to go there this August and have them again.

My favorite appetizers was at Shutters at the Carribbean Beach Resort. They were called shrimp cake bites or something. And they came with some nice dipping sauces.
Favorite dessert is the creme brulee at Le Cellier. I also liked the dessert I got from Shutters. I can't remember what it was called but it was a coconut sponge cake with this nice sauce on it. I'm not a fan of coconut but I couldn't taste any coconut it was just super moist and the sauce was excellent!

Re: Best appetizers and desserts
Can't get it at the bar, but my favorite dessert at WDW is the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and Bananas Foster sauce that can be found at 'Ohana. Yum doesn't even come close.

Re: Best appetizers and desserts
This might be a cultural thing...
Fresh motz wasn't isn't widely available here in the US (it has gotten much better in the last decade, but it is still relegated to a "special section" not the the "cheese" section of the grocery).
Not many americans "enjoy" a cheese that leakes water when opened. Most would assume it is spoiled. We are the same country where, culturally, velveeta (a veggie oil cheese mixture) is considered "cheese".
I've made salads with fresh motz for my friends before, nothing special, but they find it amazing, as they are used to highly processed cheeses. The freak out for bleu cheese based dishes too (like bleu cheese crusted steaks)...and real bleu cheese is also hard to find and relegated to a "special section" in US groceries.

Re: Best appetizers and desserts
Ah - thanks for clarifying!
I guess I should have known eh - the land of cheese in a tube eh (and even worse - spray cheese!!!)? LOL!
Still, some of the best restaurants I know are over the pond with you guys so I'll say no more on that!
Back on appetizers and desserts (and more specifically, desserts), "One Last Cup" at Jiko is to die for!
It's Tanzanian chocolate and kenya coffee mousse with cinnamon mascarpone, nutty chocolates and hot chocolate pouring sauce. Mine came with a white chocolate spoon too and was divine!!
Mmmmmmm!
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away!
