Bus queue seating sounds good in theory but people at WDW don't know how to queue at the best of times so you'd never keep your place in line! I'm often amazed at bus stops - it just becomes a mass of people at busy times as everyone barges on. I'd say forget the seating (sorry!) and put in more roped off lines where people can't push in.
Agree on all your Fantasyland points - some great ideas, especially the Dwarf Mine Train idea - that'd be such a cool dark ride. I've always kind of dismissed Fantasyland as a bit weak (we only really like Small World and just tolerate Peter Pan and Snow White and do them "cos they're there") so it'd be great to have a bit more to do there.
A Soarin' style Peter Pan would be amazing, as would an updated Pooh ride although I have to say, I hate the idea of a puppet show (sorry again!). It sounds seriously out of date to me although I guess as a thirty-several year old bloke I'm probably not the target audience for such an attraction!
Interesting Epcot ideas, particularly for the UK. As a Brit I probably ignore everything that is typically British so am oddly probably the wrong person to ask although I agree that it is a weak area. A few pretty grim shops and a pub and that's it!
I'm not sure about the Yellow Submarine ride - it sounds like it could be a tiny bit tacky if not done right - although maybe as a 3D show it could work. It'd be hard to see how a Nautilus style ride could bring anything new.
Seeing your Beatles suggestions, maybe a British Invasion theme could work? I'd take your idea one stage further and go for a ride where guests sit in Minis, E-Type Jags or Morris Minors on a coaster style ride set to 60s British music (The Beatles, The Stones, The Animals, Hermans Hermits and so on). Kind of a 1960's Rock n Roller Coaster but outside?
And I reckon the existing castle-style building in the UK could be improved hugely with a few torches, cobwebs and dry ice blowers to make it look more like your suggested Scottish Castle - I guess building a few mountains and lochs might be a bit beyond Disney's budget though!
And I think you're so right about Universal. If you look at the huge improvements they have made over the last few years compared to Disney, Universal's growth seems far greater - so it's odd that attendance doesn't seem to reflect this! We love Universal - IoA is such a fun day with rides that are on the whole, far better than WDW and Universal is snapping at WDW's heels with the new Simpsons ride, the Mummy and Rip Ride Rockitt. It's just a shame they don't have the same atmosphere, history, characters and public affection otherwise I reckon WDW could be in serious trouble!

Regarding a possible Yellow Submarine ride, it seems there actually WAS a ride at some park or other at one time. Here's a link to a video of the ride's intro:
That looks pretty cute, if too low-tech for a Disney ride. But I think it illustrates how cool Pepperland is, and how much fun a really well-Imagineered ride could be. It could be a dark ride, with people sitting in little yellow subs (a la the ships in the Peter Pan ride). Maybe it could even be like the Pan ships in that the subs are floating, attached to the drive train from above like the ships - that would be cool. And then you could sail through the Sea of Holes to find Pepperland, meet Sgt. Pepper, Jeremy Hilary Boob, fight the Blue Meanies and meet the Beatles (in CGI). And save Pepperland! I think a ride like that would be terrific. It could rate up there with Rockin' Rollercoaster. I hope this idea has at least crossed the minds of the Imagineers...god knows the parks could use some fresh inspiration (although to be honest, I prefer home-grown, non-franchise-related rides in Disney parks...including those based on Disney characters...but a Yellow Sub ride would, after all, serve to display an important note in British/world pop culture, with the British Invasion and all...seems a fitting addition to me, anyway...plus kids are getting into the Beatles thanks to the new Rock Band game. It's something to think about...)
There are quite a few imagineers here. I do think WDW should survey those who frequent the park and get some ideas. WDW is a great place to visit and I do agree with DisneyFreak2 that I do love WDW the way it is and all the classic things but it does need some updates. Example, Frontierland needs more westernities.

First let me say that I am a DVC member. I wish that Disney for the time being would put a halt on the DVC and concentrate on adding to the parks.
MK - I would love to see an improvement in Frontierland. More of feeling that one has entered into the years of old.
HS - As much as I like the hat, if they could find another place for it. I used to love walking into the park and looking directly down the street and seeing the theatre.
Epcot - A much needed new country.
AK - I cannot think of anything except for the safari. Always too long to wait.
I love WDW but, I think they need to concentrate on the parks more than the timeshares.
I could not agree more! I am not a DVC member, but I am an AP holder! We go 2-4 times a year for a minimum of 4 days at a time and I have to say, WDW needs to step it up a bit! There definately needs to be add ons. Especially at AK and HS!!! There really are no rides there and that is what the kids want. In a few years, my boys are probally going to want to head to Universal instead, they will be older and there are not enough rides and thrills these days to keep them going.... Luckily they are only 1, 4, and 6... so I still have a few more years before that happens, but as I read in other posts Universal has really invested. Next year Hogwarts is supposed to open and I think that could truly hurt WDW. Personally, I love the thrill rides, but I love Disney far more!
Epcot could seriously use a new country or two! Thank goodness for the food and wine fest, but we don't always make it. I love exploring new attractions! As for MK, frontierland could use some more western without a doubt, the yellow submarine ride was around when I was a kid and I would love for it to come back to fantasyland.... there could be so much more. A little mermaid ride would be great, as would a cars ride! The possibilites are endless!! I am hopeful that the imagineers will pull it together and not disappoint Walt or the true fans of the World!

I think the thing with the DVC is that, although it makes sense for Disney to build a resort and have it paid for almost immediately by DVC purchases, it's a very short term view.
Building a resort is all well and good but building several new resorts (or additions to) whilst not investing in more attractions in the parks seems madness. Bringing in more people (and therefore more ancilliary expenditure on food, drink, souveneirs etc) is great but surely more peope need more things to do?
And it also ignores the majority of Disney's guests - loyal visitors who return many times but who aren't DVC members. Disney surely can't ignore us lot for much longer?
As for the Yellow Submarine ride, I see what you mean now! If it were offered as a kiddie style ride with cartoon style submarines I think it could work. I'm not quite sure how I was picturing it first but that's probably why I didn't like the idea!

Do you think Disney gets letters from us loyal folk as to expansion on the parks rather than DVC????
