If we do a water park, it's Typhoon Lagoon as I'm not a huge Blizzard Beach fan.
We'll arrive at opening (EMH preferably), find a lounger and dump our stuff (we don't bother with a locker as we normally only take a towel and a t-shirt in).
Then we'll start hitting the slides and other attractions, starting with the biggest first.
Last time, we had done almost all the slides by the time the park opened to the general, non EMH, public.
We did a couple of laps of the lazy river, got bashed about by the huge surfing waves and then left by 11am.
That's about all I can take of the water parks. I'd rather chill around the resort quiet pools.

We don't do the waterparks any more, but the lazy rivers do look tempting on a hot day!
As Merc says, the misty rainforest part of the TL lazy river is great. The whole river is really relaxing (apart from the odd °°°°° or two who has to try and "run" through the water, shouting, scattering rings everywhere and splashing everyone. Grrr!
The misty section is lovely and cooling on a hot day. Going under the waterfalls has the same effect but the cooling is a bit more sudden!!
Although we're not huge water park fans, I could float round those rivers all day!

-Fit in a few water slides
-then go on the lazy river (the misty rainforest part is fantastic!)
-lounge for a bit
-get a snack
-rest a little longer
-splash around for a bit
-end the day on a high note, go down your favorite water slide

Rides,Rides,Rides.............Who has time to relax? If I go on the lazy river I want an escape route after about 10 minutes. You may want to go to both water parks the same day. Ill relax at the beach, resort pool, etc.... not the water parks. Go on all the major slides especially that huge one at blizzard beach. If you have small children..under 11 I would stay at Typhoon Lagoon....Over that its Blizzard beach and Typhoon Lagoon (I still like Typhoon better).. The best is seeing both. I don't feel you need a full day at a water park.. You may want to do both or one on one day and the other the next. Nothing wrong with relaxing if that's your thing. Both gives you that option. I was just busting. You can even fall asleep there, it can be that relaxing. But thats just not for me.
I want my own lazy river at home - in cold, wet, windy England. Hmmm hang on....
LOL Thats because you visit Disney for 2 weeks at a time.
Can't have no lazy river ride here in New York. It can get cold and windy here to. Plus I would be afraid who I may bump into. And it isn't the live one's.
My two kids love the water parks. I like TL. BB---not so much (can't stand getting "neti-potted" by the slides). We all love the lazy rivers, though, and the rides. We try not to get sun (like to stay that pasty fish-belly white ;-) ), so sunbathing's not our bag. If I remember to take a book, however, I'll find a shady spot and lie down and read for a bit while DH takes the kiddos to play. Normally, though we don't stay for an entire day---it does feel too much like lounging about.

I have, sadly, never been to the water parks.
I have ALWAYS wanted to go to one of them. They seem fun.

We love the water parks! When we're there for a full week, we'll usually dedicate one day to one of them. Given a choice, I'd have to say BB is my fav. I love the ice cold water that pours down in the cave on the lazy river. Great on those blazing hot days! Even before we had kids we would spend the day going on slide after slide, not much lounging. We didn't have enough time to go to one this year, but last year we went to BB with the kids for the first time. They had a blast (well, for about an hour or two until the storms rolled in and ruined it all).

We plan to do both TL and BB this coming September, and I'm guessing we'll once again be park commandos...we'll see! Hopefully by then, the daily afternoon thunderstorm will be a thing of the past...we'll see.
