Oh ok!! It looks pretty cool. I kept thinking from what was written in the disney files magazine it was going to be like the virtual rollercoaster ride inside disney quest at Downtown disney. But this sounds much better!

It looks great! I'm loving the futuristic, almost Tron-feel.
Hopefully they are on schedule for re-opening the week that I'm there.

It must come from being the only girl in my family, but I love cars and really enjoyed Test Track! One of my faves! I'm looking forward to the new look!

They should rename it Tron Track!
That being said, while I miss the original ride, Test Track was still fun, and I am a bit miffed that it will be closed for my visit.
Oh well, just another excuse to go again next year!
1982 - Contemporary (1 week), 1987 (2 weeks, offsite), 1988 (1 week, offsite), 1989 (3 weeks, offsite), 1990 (5 weeks, offsite), 1991 - 1995 (6 weeks, offsite each year), 2004 (3 days, offsite)

Does anyone know what they are doing to Test Track?
I read that it was being refurbished and that the name was being changed. Is it still going to be the same ride or are they messing it up
?

It's only getting a face lift. The track it self is not changing. I have not read or heard of a name change so that's a rumor.

I just saw a video in YouTube saying it was going to have all kinds of interactive features added to it. Sounds cool to me

Disney is allowing you to customize your own vehicle also with your own test course. From the looks of it, alot if it will be virtual. From what I have read its going to be closed tell late September but don't know if real date on that.
