HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
Has anyone done the Wild Africa TreK? Wondering if its worth it and how much it cost? I see Disney is offering $50 off after 11:30am. Any input would be great!!

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
This interests me too, and I will be watching this thread. I haven't done it, and was considering doing it. I've watched youtube videos of it, and it looks amazing.
I'm going to call Disney tomorrow to check pricing and age requirements. They don't list them on the Disney site, but I highly suspect there is a minimum age requirement.

I was going to do this but simply can't afford it this trip. I've heard that it is well worth the money and a lot of fun there is a rope bridge so if you are afraid of heights it may be an issue but I say go for it if you have the cash!!

I've never done it but would like to, I think you can see that bridge from the Safari. I'll be keeping an eye here too. England let us know what you find out please!

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
Ok, I called today.
The cost is 198 per person before 11:45a and 148 per person after 11:45a.
Also, even though this isn't on disneyworld.com, guests must be at least 8 years old to do it. Oh well, not for me on this trip I guess (kid is 7).

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
My husband and son did this tour when we were at WDW last September. They both enjoyed the tour very much. They got up and close with the animals and got great pictures. They served a meal at the end that is memorable! It was quite a hot day despite taking the morning tour. You have to be comfortable with heights. They had a professional photographer come along and everyone got pictures. They handed out water flasks to everyone who went on the tour.

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
Yes you get a free water bottle to keep and they mail you a photo cd afterwards. I asked a bunch of these questions because I really wanted to do it but the cost was too much even though it is our honeymoon I can't justify it.

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
Well thank you everybody for all your great information. I have to really consider if it is worth it for the money. My trip coming up is totally last minute.

Re: HAs anyone done Wild Africa Trek?
I'd say anything that makes a Disney trip extra special is worth the money. A few hundred less spent on souvaniers and spent on a tour?
Win!
But that really is subjective to your trip, your budget, etc...so I understand.

I've just found this thread and have been watching YouTube videos all morning! With our package, we are receiving $300 Disney dollars and may use that to pay for the trek! It's something that I wouldn't normally do and sounds brilliant!
Thank you so much for starting this thread!
I love talk Disney!!!!!

There are other Disney trips outside of this, though the Trek seems like a lot of fun. Just check them out too - Tours and Experiences | Walt Disney World Resort
