First is always DHS as it's it's a shorter, more gentle day then MK and a nice way to ease yourself in to WDW (our vacations are all about chilling out and taking it easy).
Last is always MK.
We use the Virgin Holidays check-in at DTD in the morning of our last day then hit MK.
After lunch, we stroll down Main Street, wave goodbye, drive straight to the airport and get on a plane to England.

Typically I like to hit up Magic Kingdom first but this year I am thinking of doing Epcot (we will be doing MNSSHP) our second day so I want to just chill and stroll around Epcot then the real fun begins the following evening at the party. As for our last day usually end up at MK to see the castle one last time.

On our last trip, we still did DHS first (our usual) but then, after a rest, freshen up and change, we went to Epcot for our first evening.
I love Epcot - my favorite park by far - so that was great for me. I think we may have started a new tradition for us!

MK first and last. How could you go wrong with walking around the Emporium that very first morning and see that beautiful, breath-taking sight of the castle! Then on the very last night, looking back at that castle- main street vacant- and you just say that one last, "See ya real soon!" in your best Mickey voice. I love MK first and last

Normally MK first and last too.
This year is a little different, we start with MK, ofcourse ropedrop including the welcoming ceremony, can't beat the feeling when we are there
On our last day MK is very crowded according to the crowdcalander (9,5!) so we say goodbye to MK 1 day earlier after MVMCP
And start our last day in Epcot and finish in HS with the Osborne lights
Looking forward to our Disney vacations

It depends on park hours and crowd predictions. But ideally, it would be MK first and AK last.
