The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror:
Picture, if you will, the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel. But if you think you know what happens, think again. "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" is now random - the experience is horrifyingly new, and your fear is completely unpredictable because now the Tower is in control. Your elevator will shoot you up, and it will plummet down...what is going to happen? When? How many times? Only the Tower knows. Fear has always had many faces. Now you can come meet them one at a time.

Summary The best!

Reviewer's Comments

First I want to say that I scored this ride as average for children because while some children might love it, others would be terrified. Same thing for seniors.

I\'ve been avoiding this ride for years because I was too scared to go on it. I finally gathered up the courage and gave it a try. It\'s now one of my favorite rides!

The theming is excellent. The hotel itself is fascinating to look at. I wish I could wander around the lobby to look at everything. After you go through the lobby, a group of you are closed up in the library, where a TV shows a \"Twilight Zone\" film to explain the creepy story of the hotel. This is the one part of the attraction that I don\'t always like. Sometimes, one of the spooky cast members hides in the room with you and jumps out at people in the dark while the film is showing on the TV. I can definitely do without that!

Next, you are led through the boiler room to your elevator. After you are seated, the elevator doors close and you are taken up to a couple of different floors where you see some absolutely incredible special effects.

Then the doors suddenly open and you plummet down...then up...then down...who knows how many times! The drops and lifts are surprisingly smooth. Sometimes you stop a second before dropping again. Sometimes you go from rising to dropping so fast you get confused!

If you are the kind of person who is okay with drops--freefall or roller coaster drops--then definitely give this ride a try!

Reviewer's Comments

I love this ride!

Be sure to check out the theming before you get on the ride. The lobby is full of Twilight Zone memories.

My oldest daughter chickened out when she was about 15 but now I can't wait to get her on it. I think she will love it as much as I do.

IMO, once is not enough. LOL
