Summary Not a fan

Reviewer's Comments

This park is more for children. As an adult, I am not a fan. I loved De Vine (she is amazing) and Expedition Everest. The Safari was good but we didn't see many animals. I think it's a little short time wise. I think it could have been punched up with some more visuals instead of just riding around in the truck. Maybe our cast member was boring that day. I think a little less regional dining might be called for. We didn't enjoy the food at Animal Kingdom and went to Epcot for the second half of the day. AK just wasn't up to the Disney WOW factor that your other parks are known for. I think a few more grown up kid rides might be helpful. Dinosaur is a one time ride for me. It just wasn't interesting enough for me to go back unless I have the grandkids and a parkhopper.

Summary Great Place!!

Reviewer's Comments

This park was amazing to the last. We had a very good time and the rides were really good. If we had any complaints it would have to be that there aren't enough rides and shops.

Summary Not-A-Zoo LOL

Reviewer's Comments

We love this park as my family loves animals.

The walkways can be a little narrow and close as Disney tried to theme it to Africa. They need a few more air-conditioned areas. LOL.

Don't follow the 'herd'. Take time to visit the side trails. You never know what animals you will find! Be sure to watch for DeVine. She is AMAZING! And take time to REALLY look at the Tree of Life. The carvings are beyond words.

Now that Expedition: Everest is open, I think Disney should keep the park open a little later. I know they have to close somewhat early to take care of the animals, but, especially in the summer when it is SO hot, the animals aren't very active during the day.

This is a do not miss park for my family, but it will depend on how much you like animals. I would suggest a visit to see how much you like it. Even if you just watch the Lion King show, the Safari, Expedition:Everest and look at the Tree of Life.

Summary What a great addition!

Reviewer's Comments

we enjoyed this park the most! It was great seeing the animals up close and personal! And, the rides mixed in really helped to break up the day. It's a Bug's Life was really fun, probably the best 3-D I've ever experienced.

don't miss the Mickey caravan at the opening of the park...Mickey and the gang lead you into the park with a cute introduction!

Summary Beyond Beautiful

Reviewer's Comments

I love Animal Kingdom and it was my 13yo sisters fav park of all. It really does help if you love animals, you can't just rush through this park, so many people say there is nothing to do at AK but they aren't taking their time. It takes me almost an hour to walk through the oasis when I see people stop for 2 mins then keep going. You really need to appreciate the animals and talk with the CM's about them - they know a lot about the animals.

Not only does the park have the most beautiful scenery of any park i've seen it also has some great attractions like The Lion King, Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids. I also love Primeval Whirl (not as tame as it looks)!!

I hope that Disney eventually add Beastly Kingdom to the park but until then I'll still love it.

Summary animal kingdom

Reviewer's Comments

This is my least favorite park. I really don't like it because it is only open during the daytime, and i really like the nighttime disney magic. The animals only come out during the early morning hours because of the florida heat. Although my favorite ride is here (everest) that would probably be the only reason that i would return to the park.

Summary AK - King of the Parks!

Reviewer's Comments

I am THIS close to saying this is my favorite park. Aw shucks. Ok, I'll say it: This was our favorite park!!! This was the park we visited more than any other on our 2005 trip. This park was the one our children asked to visit. This was the park where we experienced our "Disney Dazzle" moment, the unexpected *ping!* where the entire magical experience is summed up in a child's expression.

The ONLY problem I had with the park was that their stringent "no straw" policy (which I understand) made it tough for us because we had a 20 month old (far too old for a bottle) who couldn't drink from an open cup and who couldn't drink from a juice bottle and there were no sippy cups available for purchase. We eventually settled on Dasani water bottles with sport tops and mixed juice & water in those for him; very messy and he got very wet but we had no options. If they are going to make zero exceptions on the straw policy, they need to make provisions for their youngest guests.

The parades? Incredible. The ambience? Fantastic.
The restaurants? Few, but superb in their quality.
The characters? Aplenty, accommodating, affectionate. The shops? Unique and fun.
The rides? Awesome - just awesome.
The animals? My kids could not get enough. They - and my DH - even learned stuff without feeling they were in an educational seminar.

Everything about this park was an incredible fit for my family. I cannot - cannot! - wait to go back.
