Tomorrowland® Indy Speedway:
Burn up the track in this pint-sized version of a raceway. Real gas-powered cars can be driven by anyone tall enough to reach the pedal. Steer and control the speed of your own racecar as you "lap" up the excitement of this thrilling speedway.

Summary Slow, but FUN!!

Reviewer's Comments

My Nephew had been on this ride when he was there in 2005 (age 2.5yrs), I on the other hand had never been on it during any of my 4 previous visits to WDW. So, plans were made to be sure to get there on our trip in 2007! OK, it is SLOW, but I knew that, remembering in 1976 hearing the CM giving the speel on the train about the cars traveling at a "blistering pace" of 7 mph! I still enjoyed it, and my Nephew benefitted from the "baby swap" which allowed him to ride once around with Mommy, then again with Daddy. Little Brother, too young at 11 mo. to ride then switched from Daddy to mommy.
The best part for the Grandparents is the reviewing stand, although getting to/from the track for riders from the grandstand is a bit circuitous! I really enjoyed it, afterall...it's DISNEY, but my ride enjoyment was slightly lessoned by getting 2 cars behind someone who was not pushing the pedal hard enough (not sure if child or parent) and so having to pay attention to avoid tailgating car ahead, I missed some of the theming of the ride. I'd still go again! and Again!

Reviewer's Comments

Unless your a kid who doesn't have there drivers license this attraction can be skipped. It's great though for the kids that still dream of one day hitting the open road. The theming is weak and wait times are long. So plan on hitting this one early in the day or late at night.
