Summary Perfect for scrapbookers

Reviewer's Comments

This is a great book, especially for scrapbookers and those who like to record happenings from their trip. The book has all the usual information, but I really like the way it is laid out and reviews are given by adults and children. The two stand outs for me, though, are the "Passpockets" and their maps.

The Passpockets allow you to outline your plans for each day, itineraries, meal plans, etc. They include an envelope for you to stash mementos -- tickets, flyers, maps, etc. They also have space for you to jot down memories, thoughts about the day, etc. Perfect for a scrapbooker who wants to journal and feature little keepsakes in her projects!

We also preferred Passporters' maps to even the official Disney ones. The size was perfect for quick reference. I bought the Deluxe Passporter, which comes in a binder -- while we poured over every detail in the book at home, for our trip, we removed any unnecessary pages and took a "bare bones" binder to WDW. Once there, we would take out the most relevant pages for our upcoming day (including the park map) and slip that into our packs. It was so much easier to refer to the little Passporter map than to unfold the giant Disney maps...absolutely perfect!

The only negative I have to say about the Passporter books is that they don't include very many pictures. It is definitely chock full of information, but if you are looking for a pictorial tour of WDW, this is not the book for you.

In addition, Passporter has a wonderful online community that I highly recommend. It is friendly and welcoming, not at all like some other online Disney communities that can get a little snarky. Passporter has clearly built a wonderful brand built on being friendly and helpful, adding a little magic to readers' Disney vacation.

Summary Essential Reading

Reviewer's Comments

We read about 6 books prior to our 1st WDW trip with our two children (4 & 6) and this was by far the best of the lot - good information that was ACCURATE! That's a LOT more than I can say for the "Unofficial Guide" that is for those with kids (loads of misinformation in that one). Easy to navigate, makes it clear whose opinions are whose, offers suggestions based on the type of group (kids, teens, seniors, etc.) that make sense. Buy it from their website and get discounts and extras like emails updating it too. If you only have one guidebook for WDW this is the one for sure.
