"SpectroMagic":
he original Disneyland favourite has made its way to Florida. As night falls, music fills the air and the brilliantly lit parade floats cast a magical glow. The Blue Fairy. Cinderella's Carriage. Elliot the Dragon. They're all here. Some appearing for the first time ever in Florida travelling down Main Street, U.S.A. into Adventureland and Frontierland.

Summary Outstanding

Reviewer's Comments

I watched this parade years ago, although the music was different as was the theme it is even better now, I'm glad it has returned. my son and the rest of the family loved it and was well worth the wait. It was fun to watch his reaction to the charaters and hearing identify the good guy from the bad. His eyes were as wide as port holes. No complaints at all.

Summary A Must See!

Reviewer's Comments

This has to be my favorite parade from all the parks. The combination of light and music is fabulous. Even the Characters walking in the parade have lights on them. This is a great parade for every one. The kids love the colors, lights and the lit up Characters walking up to them and waving at them. Grown ups have to appreciate the planning and "magic" of the parade. Good guys, bad guys, and classic Characters are all represented in this parade. If there are 2 parades scheduled, see the second one, it's less crowded. And, take pictures, they turn out great!

Summary Magical Spectromagic

Reviewer's Comments

What can be said about this classic outgrowth from the original and beloved Main Street Electrical Parade? Though not to take anything away from it's predecessor, this parade is head and shoulders above it in so many ways. Technology in every aspect had grown since the first MSEP and is totally on display here.

Every classic Disney character found in the parks...and even some rare appearances, are on display in
Spectromagic. The announcement begins and the excitemnent in the nightime air is think and heavy with anticipation as the lights along Main Street and the rest of the parade route are dimmed to near darkness...but not a threatening one enough to make children scared. This is to beter enjoy all the wonder and excitement that is yet to come!

Led by a magical maestro...or in this case...Moustro...Mickey Mouse enters on a large glittering float surrounded by smoke and other magical lighting effects to unleash the magic of Disney for all to see and enjoy. What follows is the most delightful and dazzling nightime parades throughout the Magic Kingdom. Many films are represented including a long segment toFantastic where flying Pegasus cavort in the "cloudy" sky and Chernabog transforms from mountain to threateaning (but safe) life before your very eyes! There's a carrousel float that has the extra added detail of hacing beautiful glss etched representations of some of the Disney classic film moments atop it.

Look for enchanted butterflys and dragonflies around the 3 floats for Flora, Fauna and Merryweather amongst some of the original characters in the parade. Speaking of original characters for Spectormagic, in the very beginning of the parade are some of the more interesting and highly misunderstood characters to be found. They are refered to as the "Spectromen". They are basically from no film Disney released and were designed to be Ambassadors to the world of Spectromagic...but their glowing and ever color-changing cherubic faces tend to appear a little...well...creepy and might have some of the youngest toddlers asking questions about who they are and why they look so...well...creepy. They aren't around long as this parade has a lot to offer and there's so much more coming once they pass the viewer by.

As for the spectro-MAGIC...one has to experience the beauty live in order to truly understand and appreciate what has gone into this glittering nightime spectacle. As we watch, the floats turn from glorious Technicolored lights and fiber optics effects to stunning white befiore our very eyes, set to a beautiful soundtrack which, once again, leave's one with the music in one's heart as another magical night in the Kingdom comes to a close.

Truly a must not miss event which happens almost nightly and sometimes twice nightly, (check your daily park guides) this parade is sure to dazzle and amaze everyone from the young to the old and all ages in between and sends one off with the knowledge that they have just spent the day in a truly Magic Kingdom.
