Disney Cruise Line released its 2019 itinerary schedule last week and it includes expanded offerings out of San Diego.
The 1,754-passenger Disney Wonder will sail an expanded season out of San Diego, from March 2019 through May. Wonder will offer two-, four-, five- and seven-night sailings that will feature stops in Mexican port towns including Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan.
In January and February, Disney Wonder will sail itineraries to San Juan and Puerto Rico, along with several three- and four-night trips to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral, Fla.
The line’s newest ships and largest ships, the 2,500-passenger Disney Fantasy and sister ship Disney Dream, will continue to be based in Port Canaveral, Fla.
Fantasy will operate seven-night Caribbean sailings, with calls to the Virgin Islands of Tortola and St. Thomas; Western Caribbean cruises will call on Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Falmouth. Disney Dream will embark on three- and four-night Bahamian cruises.
The 1,754-passenger Disney Magic will continue sailings from Miami with four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas, plus five-night Western Caribbean cruises. Magic’s itineraries will include calls to Nassau and Key West, Fla., Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
Disney Cruise Line plans to grow its fleet to seven ships by 2023, with the first of three new ships coming in 2021.
Bookings for 2019 itineraries open to the public on Nov. 2.
