The Disney Wonder cruise ship departed San Diego Friday afternoon for a trip to Puerto Vallarta.
Disney Cruise Line confirmed Friday that they were not going to alter the ship’s schedule, despite Hurricane Patricia making landfall on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. The ship is due to arrive in Puerto Vallarta on Monday.
“It doesn’t concern me being on the ship because obviously they’ll take precautions and make sure we’re OK,” said passenger Joanna Greenshields. “If it means we’ll have to divert somewhere else, then that’s what we’ll do. I think my biggest concern is for the people wherever it hits landfall.”
