On October 9th the lights will din on the Magic Kingdom’s ling-running parade and make a move to Disneyland after over 20 years of absence. The old-school illuminated parade—in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds—will once again roll down Main Street, U.S.A. in early 2017 for a “limited engagement”.
The park has not yet revealed when the Main Street Electrical Parade will start, nor have they said how long the encore presentation will last.
The announcement comes as another nighttime parade, Paint the Night, ends its run on Sept. 5 as part of the theme park’s 60th anniversary celebration.
